That gold is unreal, never seen one like it 😍. Much nicer than the yellow type as you've said. They've turned out lovely, I'm glad it worked this time for you👍.

I would highly recommended stone coat resin for larger objects. It's my go to when I need something that will get rock hard. Love their products!

The resins I use all get rock hard - Naked Fusion and Unicone. I haven’t tried Stone Coat although I’ve heard good things!

You can get La Rez in the USA from Laura’s Art Corner 😊

You probably already know this, but Le Rez pigments are available through Laura’s Art Corner. And you’re right; Le Rez has stopped shipping to the US. Laura’s Art Corner does not carry Le Rez glitter.

These are wonderful! I love them!! ❤️💕❤️. I watch Julie at Pouring Your Heart Out, too. I agree with the "over-easy eggs" comment. LOL. I love Le Rez products and get mine from Laura Usher at Laura's Art Corner as I'm in the USA, too. She is a delightful lady and always ships on time. Maybe you dogs are pouting. Mine do! LOL. Thank you for the video. I’ve tried a few times with little success. Should I be leaving my resin to get to a certain temp before starting? Assume a thinner resin is better? Thanks
@TiftenStudio
@TiftenStudio 2 года назад
Hi Tina! There are a few things I can think of why it’s not working. 1. Your resin is too thin or too thick. Thin resin just lets everything fall straight to the bottom. Thick resin doesn’t let anything fall deep enough to get crackles. 2. Your resin sat too long or cures too fast. You need to use a resin that cures slowly enough to let the color fall through the clear. 3. Your pigments aren’t heavy enough. Make sure you’re using enough colorant to make them very opaque. 4. Your room is too cold. Cold resin doesn’t move as much while it cures. 5. Your room is too hot. Hot resin cures too fast and doesn’t give enough time for the movement to happen. I would try a simpler version of this, with just clear and mica. I did a tutorial here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YpGfVwt9glQ.html Try that and see how it works. If you still don’t get crackling, then I would say to try a different resin. Either Naked Fusion or MAS Art Pro, and make sure your room is 72-75 degrees while you’re working and the resin is curing. I don’t ever warm my resin up first, either. It’s always room temp. So the temperature of your room will make a difference.

Love these! What would you say the viscosity is of the Naked Fusion resin you used? I looked on their website but couldn’t find an answer. Thank you 😊
@TiftenStudio
@TiftenStudio 2 года назад
I’d say a medium viscosity.

Can bottom transparent layer of coaster be clear? Then followed by layers of mica colored resin
@TiftenStudio
@TiftenStudio 2 года назад
Yep! As long as it’s transparent, it will work.

I tried this and failed my epoxy had hardened before I got to the second layer pour :( im in the uk 🇬🇧 so not sure which resin I should use. The work time for the one I use is 30-40 mins xx
@TiftenStudio
@TiftenStudio 2 года назад
I use Naked Fusion, which has about a 45 minute work time. If you find yourself running out of time, try just making one coaster to practice. It takes less time to mix and pour all the steps, and you use less resin so if you mess up, it's not as much of a waste.

If I don’t have pigment paste can I substitute mica powder
@TiftenStudio
@TiftenStudio Год назад
This works best if you use different types of colorants. I wouldn’t use more than two mica powders.
