In this tutorial, we will show you 17 different ways to counter with Roundhouse Kick in Taekwondo Sparring. Can you guess all of them? Enjoy the video, :) #taekwonwoo
Very informative video and this channel has helped me a lot in training for TKD. Can you please create a video on how to counter the side kick and back kick
Although this man is clearly more skilled hen I am I will have lots of sparring experience I would recommend closing the distance completely and clinching. Do not wrap your hands totally around because in most competitions this is illegal and you will get broken up, you can then rotate your opponent or drive him into a corner in which case strikes as simple as punches which are normally worth very little can be effective Also you can slide forward into him and be aggressive with pushing punches to the hogu to create distance and get a few quick points
Pushing is allowed now but pushing him out of the ring or continues push are foul. So push then a kick or if your flexible enough a high rise kick or an axe kick is good
hi friend...thanks for this tutorial... but my request is...that in another tutorial...kindly show us... the counter attack with roundhouse kick against double kick attacks also....
as i know it dolryo-chagi(돌려차기) is roundhouse kick in korean. but 돌개차기(tornado kick) is tends to call people differently. for example, 360 kick, spin roundhouse kick, 턴차기, 회전돌려차기, 돌개바람차기, 회오리차기, jump spin turning kick.....this kinds of name mean all same thing. the tornado kick as youknow. meanwhile, the 국기원(Kukkiwon) is registered tornado kick with 돌개차기. that's all. i think you may as well call it your own name. :)
This video would have been great 7 years ago. With this new bullshit they are calling sport Tae Kwon Do all they do is point style karate lead leg pitty patty kicks. No more full power back leg round kick. All a player has to do is stick there leg in the air and if there foot ever so slightly touches the head they get 25 points or some such foolishness.
No that’s not how it works. If you land a decent kick that made a sound then it’s a point. Also body kicks are 1 , spin kicks body are 2 head shots are 3 and spin kicks headshots are 4. Do your research men
My point exactly. Back in the day late 70's to early 2000. Before the E hogu the bs that scores today was laughed at by WTF style TKD fighters. The judges would not give to a point for a cut kick just about as much as a punch. You had to BLAST the guy to get point. Now its all pitty patty flippy floppy weak ass bs. The masters of old would turn over in there grave if they saw what was passing for TKD today. Sport karate had flashy colored uniforms. Guess what WTF came out with last year. Flashy colored uniforms. Its a joke. and its sad.
