Its main claim to fame is probably its versatility and high carrying capacity for the weight and size - not only does it feature an expansive main compartment that can easily swallow big chunky things like cameras and water bottles, but it also has a large number of exterior straps and attachment points that easily lets you carry gloves, jackets, and more on the outside of the bag. This, combined with the great weather resistant materials makes this a great sling bag for the outdoors that is also fairly handy in urban EDC environments.
Conversely, the pack does have less interior organization than some may prefer, and the various straps on the bag are a bit fiddly at times and can contribute to a somewhat busy external appearance, though much of this can be cleaned up by tucking them away in the back panel.
Overall, the 1733 side back is a great choice for people looking for a distinctive, versatile hip / sling pack that can carry a lot for the size.
