Great perspective in showing how effective the 177 is. As stated prior, slugs have taken 177 to a new level. Good shot good buddy!!! BTW, YOU NEED TO KEEP MAKING VIDEOS JUST LIKE THAT ONE!
Yeah, people were getting on me for not showing any shooting vids...so here ya go...and no, I don't need an expensive air rifle to get 'er done. Just a lot of praying! LOL!
Hay Buddy! Re: the New Notos on your list. I'm going to see if the Diana Chaser Carbine barrel can be used in my New Notos. Chaser barrel is about 6" longer and has an LDC on the end too. More FPS and lower decibels in one barrel swop! Yay baby!
Dropped a medium sized hog last night with a the .30 KO with the HP MAX SS. Lucky shot at 60 yards and running away through grass. I got it through the body and dropped it. Slug left a giant entry hole and even passed through. ☠️🥊🙏
@@Monkeydad1969 I forgot my phone at the house before I went for a walk so I wasn't able to get a pic. The hp max is new to me and I haven't added the atn scope to it yet. Pig was about as wide as a basket ball though and the slug punched completely through at 60 yards. The entry was a bubbling bloody mess and looked to be about 2" wide. The exit was small and didn't have much blood. The atn is so heavy but I'll end up putting it back on. I'll record the next one for sure. I normally do head shots on hogs so I like the heavier slugs to bust skulls and these are perfect. Really surprised to have dropped it with a body shot though.
Sorry to hit you up again. Import question I am seeing with my Talon P. I am shooting the 10.2 and 13.4 Knockouts. Have you seen any front jam issues when you pull the trigger. My talon P it is if the slug pops out of the seated barrle and gets jamed going back in. I have all types of issues with the slugs like getting bent. I have the gun dump the air tank on me as half the slug was in the barrel the other have was hanging outside of the barrel right where you insert the pellet. I have never seen this. Is this something new for just the .177 slugs ?
@@ShootingTargets727 the lead in is very deep. I do have to seat the ko slugs well or they will fall back. I have considered having a 1/8" or more cut off of the lead so that the slugs seat better.
@@Monkeydad1969 Yea, maybe just me, but I thought about a little pin or numb on my finger to jam the pellet in further into the barrel to get a deeper seating ? Is this your thoughts as well ?
Fellow RU-vidr here. So I am getting my .177 condor tomorrow. I am a .177 love the 13.4 knockouts in fx and daystate. I shot 325 yard clay pigeons with my red wolf. See my channel if you dont believe me. So did you do anything special to your condor .177 ? How would you suggest it be setup initially ? How many shots are you getting per a fill ? Your most accurate PSI ? Thanks again and keep making these videos.
I didn't do anything to it except put it together. The power wheel is on zero. The Condor ring loc valve is crazy powerful. From 2600 down to 1800 I get about 25 shots, but don't quote me. I'm doing 1177fps for 41fpe...and p-dawgs can't stand me. I haven't really just sat down with it and did a shot string, but I guess I need to. I'll check out your channel. 😎👍🏾
@@Monkeydad1969 Yea man, I been wanting to get back to the condor brand because I feel with these new slugs it is very viavle now as tofazfou as said as well. Ok well hopefully I can get the same performance. You are suggesting a 2600 psi fill down to 1800 psi right ? I noticed another guy mentioned shooting his condor at 2000 psi with 10.3 knockout slugs for about 1000 fps for a shot count of 50 shots just an FYI not sure if that is possible but still alot of shots and good power response. Though in my shooting the 13.4 grain are much better past 100 yards. Thanks again. Jay
@@ShootingTargets727 I do agree on the 13.43gr being very good past 100yds. I've hit p-dawgs out to 230yds. The 10.03gr were awesome out of my Raptor Mini on iguanas. We also bring in the Rifle Brand ammo and they are the only production company making a 19.6gr .177 slug. I haven't tested in any of my high powered .177 rifles yet. I have shot the VarmintKnockers 19.5gr and they are just plain devastating, so my hope is the Rifle versions will be just as good.
@@Monkeydad1969 Nice, so the highest BC of any .177 slug so far is about .075 or the zan 16 to 20 grain that say .08 roughly. I am not sure if that is marketing hype. I would like to see some ultra low drag ammo that we could shoot super fast with a higher BC. This would not be for hunting and expansion as much as just going out long distance for smaller game maybe sparrows but allowing better ballistics and speed for airgun use. Thanks again. and if you happen to have any insight on super low drag .177 pass it along.
