Nice video Brother 👊!!!! I'm stoked HR released a direct fit 17mm hex option for these Killer 3s rigs👌. I'm also running them on my BRCC now. Still running my original mod on the Granite for now. Appreciate the shout out. 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Rich Duperbash awesome! Yeah man, that HR option works well too. Thanks for stopping by the channel, and thanks for showing us the way on the extenders. Makes a huge difference. 👍👊
@@80texansfan yes I originally used Duratrax 12mm hexs inside Hot Racing 12 to 17mm adapters because that was the only viable option at the time. Hot Racing eventually released a direct fit 17mm option for the Granite, Senton, and BRCC. Here's the link. hot-racing.com/?partnumber=ATF117XT02;c=1385
Rich Duperbash so I need to get everything in the description below the video and I’ll be good? Just making sure cause I plan on buying the Big Rock soon, Thanks.
BADASS looking truck man. Good call on the hex extenders definitely made a difference in stability. LOVE the design of the Big Rock. Took mine to BMX track and she's a BEAST man. Check it out when you get a chance. Great run brother.
Thanks man! The reason I asked is because I noticed some play in the rear after you installed the wheel. It seemed a little wobbly. Is it like that from the factory? I’m getting my big rock soon and can’t wait to start modding it. Thanks!
Christopher Malonzo it’s little to no play as far as I saw when I was installing. They seemed to have a little wobble to them stock out of the box. Honestly I think that is normal, but then again I’m learning as I go. You are going to have a blast with it. Will this be your first RC, or do you have others?
Christopher Malonzo oh ok, cool man! Yeah, this BRCC is a beast. Thanks again for checking out the channel. Don’t forget to subscribe, if you haven’t already.
I use the hub adaptors to run the 3.8's on it for backyard bashing. 10mm extenders without the 12mm adaptors keep slipping off even with locktite on, plus they lock up against the axle. The 12mm adaptors + extenders are probably the better option to avoid the lock up. And yeah, you don't need to widen the thing. Runs fine as is. Just the 12mm with proline trenchers are all you need really. Go easy on the throttle is all on the turns.
John Wagner you might want to look into these. I haven’t tried them, but I plan to. www.gpmparts.com/arrma-granite-4x4-mega-monster-truck-aluminum-hex-adapters-9mm-6pc-set-gpm-mag0109mm-p-10435.html
I don't think the stock wheels will fit after using the Hot Racing hub extenders. The hex is going to be upgraded to 17mm. You can always remove the stock tires from their rims and mount them on new wheels with 17mm hex!
PAULO AFONSO I see what you’re saying. It looks that way in the video, but it was the same as the others. I’ve changed it a few times since. Just having fun, you know. Hahahaha
Awesome video bro, thanks for sharing. I immediately ordered the 17mm direct fit hubs that you showed at the end, awesome for providing the links. I'll be able to swap out & share even more tires from my other models I have laying around. I also noticed you have a Shredder, cool truck, I love mine. I call it a "Poor Man's Xmaxx!!!" I subscribed bro, please visit my channel at your leisure!!! Thanks -djsoulforce!
Lol badlands to much grip get ready to keep replacing parts with this mod tires heavier. Made this mistake sold the tires. For lighter ones. Belted does the same. All other parts will need to be upgraded. You will suffer less runtime on battery. Your cars ability to turn and slide will be greatly reduced and it's abilities to pull wheelies kan be killed. Great tires your recommendation on 2 passes 🤣😂🤔 I put out the truth there great tires at a cost. 1 price of tire 2 up grading what they break. 3 driving and controled sliding killed less fun to drive. Good in dirt mud . Bad on street and grass kills your car . So there only good for low traction areas. Burn out fast on hard surfaces. So if you're only gonna use 1 tire for all these areas this is not your tire. I run street on street at mixed knobie on dirty mud paddle on sand snow. That's 4 sets of tire ouch match the weight of tire and size for your car with traction for your use and you will break less parts it's what your car was designed to handle.
