The unofficial start to the Chicago riding season begins with Ride Janie Ride charity run. The mission of the Ride Janie Ride Foundation is to provide direct financial assistance to Chicagoland individuals facing financial hardship resulting from ongoing medical treatment for various types of cancer.
For over a decade, the Ride Janie Ride Foundation has been bringing the community together for one common goal; to pay it forward. What started as a way help to alleviate the financial burden of cancer treatments for Janie Bawel, grew into an experience much larger than any of us could have imagined. The annual event took place on May 7, 2023 this year, bringing together thousands of participants to raise funds for the nominiated recipients.
