Thank you sir nice explanation.. but for detection of amino acid we have to use ninhydrin solution it's not the amino acid we use to detect a compound

Amino acids identification, ninhydrin spray to TLC plate then just warm to TLC plate. If present amino acid pink colour will form

Great sir! I have a doubt sir. U said that chromotography paper contains water molecules so that it can attract the polar organic compounds. But water is a non polar solvent how wil a non polar solvent attract a polar substance? And another doubt is will the glass plate be dipped in solvent in thin layer chromotography?

water is polar solvent molecule so it attract polar components.
