I have to say, as someone who deals with bad and chronic depression myself, sometimes when you've been feeling bad for SO long, even major life changes for the better doesn't make you feel instantly better. It still takes time. There is nothing more you could do to make her happy. Sure, she may be happy to see a clean house at the moment, but make no mistake, it's going to take time before she's feeling significantly better. That's just the sad truth about depression. I hope you ended up hearing from her and everything is okay.
I agree w/the persons comment b4 me. You are doing this w/a pure heart, for free and you don't need 2 apologize 4 anything. You are doing this out of love and the goodness of ur heart. Anyone who leaves a negative comment should be ashamed of themselves!
Yep, Midwest Magic Cleaning sent me too. Y'all are amazing people. Seems like everyone who does this works endlessly to bring about change and a clean environment for those suffering.
Do not judge less you be judged. This is my first time watching your channel. You are a beautiful soul. You are helping a family. Thank you and God Bless you.
Thank you for sharing her heartbreaking story and for helping her. We are all closer to a bad situation than we like to think. Your English is just fine... and I can tell from comparing this to later videos that it's really improved! :) Keep being awesome.
This is only a suggestion, Barbie. You can collaborate with a child protection agency. They would be so grateful to find someone like you. They do not want to remove children because of dirty homes, but sometimes have to do so. If a home can be cleaned/organized, a child will be allowed to return. It is only a suggestion because you WOULD be so awesome a person to work with to help families! ❤
I just started filling you as well from Midwest. One concern I see is the bed bugs! I sure hope you prepared yourself for the infestation you could take out with you.
Everyone has a part of life that suffers. I myself had a very simular situation. First step is just to try the best you can to stay positive and I myself must do the same. Don't be embarrassed things in life paralyze others even when they were the most organized and clean person in past. I hope you feel better soon and just do your best and try to think positive. My heart goes out t to you as I am going thru same after losing two family members I totally let myself and everything around me just get bad . I am depressed and can't even move tears and life challenges paralyze and effect others so differently. Smile you made the first step one minute at a time . 💗😻💥😇
Midwest Magic Cleaning sent me. You did a great job. It seemed like the tub was not sending the water to the drain as much as the end of the tub. If so it might need a plumber to level it for better draining.
I started to see your RU-vid channel before I learned about MMC. Do you feel stressed, when you have too little time, but a lot to do? Remember to take good care of yourself. As always, you did an amazing job. So much trash, so much clutter, and anyway,. you did it again. This apartment is beautiful now.
She should be in there with you so she can see how to manage and delegate her time. I think it's more beneficial if she sees how to clean and organized. If she just got a new clean apartment she won't know how to process it next time when it comes time to clean and organized.
No judgement.. I've been in that situation, well similar. Its so overwhelming, wondering where you can even start, it just plunges you deeper into despair. Barbie, this lady and her little one are so blessed to have your help. You are a beautiful beautiful human. I hope you will be greatly rewarded in health and happiness every day of you and families life. And to the Momma, well done on reaching out, that had to cause a lot of anxiety for you, but you did it.. And mommas know why you did. Wish you all the very best for you and your little, don't ever be afraid to ask for help. Life is tough sometimes.. Its easier when a problem is shared.
I came here at the recommendation of Midwest Magic Cleaning. You did an amazing thing for that client and it was heartwarming to see you caring so much for her situation. I have a lot of family who speaks English as a second language. Please don't feel bad for your accent. You did just fine! Many people are not lucky enough to speak more than one language so be proud of your English! :)
First of all please barbie, don't apologise for anything.. Even if you don't reply my comment I just want you to read it.... You are Angel on earth in human form.. What you are doing is not easy.. Trust me.. It takes a lot of courage, strength, time, determination, dedication and most importantly a beautiful kind and soft heart that feels for others.. Someone whom you don't even know personally... You are not getting anything for it in return.. You are doing it whole heartedly.. You are an amazing and incredible human being... I didn't skipped one sec of this video... Even if you had made an hour long episode I would had watched every second of it... ❤️ I want to do this too in my country Pakistan... But here the people are not that supportive of cleaning someone else's garbage.. Not even my family.. But I pray one day I have the strength to break these boundaries and help people out there.. Trust me I know how good it feels to have a clean home.. A fresh start... There are not many people out like you auri and Midwest man out there.. You 3 people whom I know are saving lifes❤️ God Bless you Barbie!!! God bless your family too!! May God give you and your family good health and always protect you and your family.. And bless you with enormous wealth and happiness I pray Ameen.. 🥀❤️😇🌺🌻☺️
I don't normally leave a message I have been where this lady is a long time ago now I am a perfectionist in my home. What I would have given to have someone like you as I was only twenty years old at the time and now I am a great grandma. Barbie from the bottom of my heart thank you for who you are. This has nearly brought me to tears. This world owes you one. Grandma Helen
I think this is the first time I have watched this channel. I have to say what sticks out to me the most is the kindness and empathy. I'm so thankful she asked everyone to not be mean, but to be encouraging. Everyone needs encouragement and kindness.
Yep, she is overflowing with kindness and empathy. Clearly she is superior to all the rest of us combined. Most of us would care about the children and the cat. But this superior being said "fuck the kids and fuck the cat, because I'm not reporting her to any authorities". I feel so bad knowing what a piece of shit I am for caring about kids and cats more than the person who abuses them. Hopefully one day this superior being will make a video explaining to us how WE can become superior too and help other people abuse kids and cats and not care. But until that day comes I will have to live with myself being a disgusting person that cares about kids and cats(and dogs) more than the people that abuse them...
@@SirReptitious, maybe one day you will want to help a child and cat immediately by giving them and the mother a clean, organized home that is under control and safe. Maybe you will care so much that you won’t want to have them taken away, causing them deep trauma and insecurity. Maybe someday you’ll understand the bonds between them and want, with all your heart, to help keep them together.
@@SirReptitious I believe you are misreading the situation. This reaching out to clean the environment is the FIRST step... clearly that mother AND her family needs help... not punishment.
Explaining to the cat to “be thankful and use the cat litter,” I love it!! I have talks like that with my cats too! 💗 What a beautiful thing you did for this woman! Thank you! 💐
It's not the cat's fault . If they eat , they gotta poop . Cat are fastidiously clean creatures . They don't want to step in , or dig in a dirty stinky litter box . I understand depression, but if you have a baby , would you leave it in a dirty diaper all day ? If you can't change the diapers or feed and bathe your baby , I would hope you would reach out to someone for help . I would like to know what happened to the other cats. . are the in an Animal Shelter ? Have they found homes yet ? I don't even know what state you're in ? Please someone , lemme know ?
If your cat goes outside it's litter box, it could have a UTI which is fixable with one shot or ten days of medicine. Then the cat will go in box again. We had to learn this unfortunately, but the cat is better now and going in litter box again. Btw, enzyme cleaner works. ❤
@@nancysmits8087 i refuse to believe this is depression and/or alcoholism. This hoarding disorder. Not all hoarding disorders insist on keeping the garbage. Some are “getters” others are “keepers” and some are a combo of both. The apartment’s occupant is in MAJOR denial about her hoarding disorder. Until she addresses that, it will never stay neat and clean. There is no “cure” but there ARE treatments but its lifelong…particularly since hoarding seems to kick into extra high gear in the senior years.
For someone that is just coming out of a debilitating depression from my husband dieing I can relate but if I had a child at home this would've never happened.
My house was and is clean. I deep clean regularly. I’m just saying depression is horrible. Don’t want people thinking I live like this but it can be debilitating. I’ve lived with it most of my adult life.
You did a great job! Even the kitty cat was thanking you for a clean house 😻😺 It’s ok to get emotional, you are empathetic, sweet and sensible to see that there is a person behind the mess, and that they are struggling and they need your help without judgement. It is a lot to take on. Don’t overwhelm yourself. Because you gave her a chance to get better, whenever she is ready she will pick herself up. Maybe she isn’t capable of getting a box bed now, but you already improved her life just by cleaning and getting her a new mattress. (I’m really enjoying the new format with the voice over and low music, thank you for listening to our ideas.) ✨✨💐💐💐
Cats love cleanliness,I’m surprised he didn’t take off and go live elsewhere.Did he have a litter box ?poor baby.I would love to see your home ,do you clean yours all weekend? You are wonderful. :) X
Very courageous woman to ask for help. And, wonderful of you to help. A suggestion for the homeowner that I have learned: do what you can for ten or fifteen minutes. Eventually, you will be motivated by your progress, because it will happen.
As someone who battles depression and anxiety everyday I understand what she is going through. I'm going through it as well. Thank you for helping her.
You can dig out if it, i believe in ya!🙂 I just had to clean my old place before i got into new place, took me two weeks to clean little at a time. I just watched these videos the whole time and got it done finally after years . 😅🙂
@@nigelkelly2286 I'm glad to know that you were able to clean your old place, I only hope you had the chance to move and start all over, please watch these vids for reference and motivation and therapy, you can do it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It was so sweet that you stayed extra to finish the entire place. I know your kids must have missed you terribly, but once they're old enough to really understand the good that you do, they'll be so grateful and happy to have such a caring and wonderful anya! Hopefully, she reaches back out to you so you can know it's completed. But you did everything you could and more to help her! You gave her a fresh start. I'm sure now that things are more open and the physical barriers are gone, she's processing a lot. Wounds are probably feeling very open again. Hopefully, she works through them and comes out better on the other side! *Idk if the client will ever see this, but if you do, please know we are all rooting for you! Many of us have been in similar situations and we know it is hard. We all hope for the best for you!
This is the kind of work that literally saves people's lives. It made me smile that the cat supervised your work. ❤️❤️ I hope this lady can get some additional help, she is really suffering a lot, it is heartbreaking
I am sorry you are suffering severe depression and so happy you asked Barbie's help to clean. Many of us have depression and our houses are not clean. Please do not isolate yourself. Make a routine of taking the kids to the library or park or for a walk where you all can be around people. I commit to washing a few dishes or a load of wash even if I don't want to it. Routine things like that give my mind a break and I have the clean dishes and clothes I found a psychiatrist and counselor I am happy with. My insurance covers that and my meds. It helps. . Make your needs known. Some people want to give away furniture. Some groups might help with cat food. Remember to pray and ask for prayers. God loves you very much.
Barbie thanks for cleaning that space! I think it is great that you learned English. You speak it well and are easy to understand. The very few grammatical errors are nothing to worry about.
She actually did clean it better than I thought she would be able to! She cleans with LOVE! She is: A heaven sent, "unselfish, loving, & compassionate" human.
If I'm continuing on cleaning the next day I always wear the same clothes. You don't need to apologize for what you do or don't do. It's hard to see people in pain and I commend you for wanted to help her out..I don't know too many people who would do it for free. There is only so much you can do for a person who may not want help after you've cleaned. Just know you did the best job helping her and what she does with that help is up to her.
A post wellness check after two months to see how the family is sounds necessary. You left it in a condition that would pass, but owe it to the kids to make sure they are ok. Mom needs something. It was a matter of time before someone saw that, and she would loose the kids. With the cleaning she has a shot of just getting some help and not loosing the kids. I know this is exactly what you didn’t want in the comments, but she is at a good place to have someone come in now before it gets bad again. I really want this family to succeed, and they don’t seem to be thriving. Maybe a local church can check in on her? I don’t think they are safe long term. If your reading this momma, you are doing the best that you can, asking for help, and I really hope you get everything you need. Well done asking for help. This is a great time to keep asking, keep going. Your on the right track
Agreed... this situation needs a 'follow up'.. A person who is this dysfunctional needs mental health support otherwise the situation will just repeat itself.
Social services need to be involved, I am shocked that anyone thinks this is remotely NOT abuse. Kids or animals, it's total and utter neglect of their needs, which is abuse. All this sentiment aimed at the woman who gave up and none at the victims who have no agency to leave or deal with the mess. I hate it. This woman will doubtless relapse, it's only a matter of time with this type of person. Plenty of people have depression etc but don't live in a verminous mountain of trash or force their kids to dwell in filth and vbermin.
Yeah a lot of people don’t realize there’s a HUGE difference between hoarding and just letting things pile up because of other reasons. It’s kind of like the difference between anorexia and skipping meals or not eating for days because of illness or simply not having time to feed yourself. Both things result in the body not having the calorie needs met. But the causes and solutions are very different between the two.
This is absolutely amazing. Were people actually living there in that mess? Where did they sleep? What you gave this family is invaluable! And I can't imagine how exhausted you were when you got done. ♡
I work in social services and this is a huge gift. I hope that she is getting proper services to get her life back on track and a clean home will go a long way to alleviating stress.
I found you through Midwest Magic Cleaning. It is so wonderful how you (and he) help so many people who are struggling. It is easy to judge someone's situation when you're on the outside but people need to learn to walk a mile in other's shoes. I hope this woman's life gets better. You helped her start. ❤️
Most people do not want to live like this - but are overwhelmed and don’t know where to begin - hopefully you inspire them to keep on top of it when the load is lightened after you do the heavy lifting
Hi Barbie! If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m making my way through your videos! Did you ever hear from this woman again?? Something I’ve noticed about YOU is that you feel the pain these people feel. Every client that you help, you feel their pain. Please make sure you are taking care of YOU. I keep thinking back to what you said in another video about being young and teachers saying you’d never amount to anything …. I’d love to make those people sit and watch your videos and eat their words! You are changing peoples lives. You are most likely saving lives. You’re an extremely hard worker. You have high expectations of yourself. You show people compassion that they most likely don’t receive from anyone else. YOU ARE A ROCK STAR! ⭐️⭐️
When I get depressed all I can do is clean, what a blessing. My partner of 44-years just died, I'm going through my house getting rid of everything unnecessary, but I constantly declutter anyway so the things left are all sentimental items that I've had for decades, it's not easy, but I'm old and I don't want to leave belongings for someone else to deal with, better to donate now so someone else can enjoy what I no longer use.
I love this, so amazing. Yes I live like this I just lost my husband I'm depressed, I lost everything, basically I have to start my life over with my Husband's 2 puppies, so this video gives me hope and motivation to do better thank you for this xoxox
I’m so glad you were able to help this Mom. Sometimes we just need someone to give us a fresh start. I really hope this gives her the energy to make some changes in her live. Also, I’m happy that your channel is growing!
this cleaning was so impressive!! not only because you were able to clean the whole apartment in two days, but because of the vulnerability and empathy you showed for the mothers situation. i cant even imagine how life changing this cleaning was for the mom and her child, and that’s all thanks to you Barbie💗💗💗 you have inspired me so much with the kindness you’ve shown these people! keep up the good work!!
Barbie, your kindness and patience with the animals in your videos shows your truly beautiful heart. I’m always happiest for the pets when you’re done cleaning 😊. Thank you for helping people who really need it get some “Room to Breathe”.
It would be great if you could partner with a social worker or counseling organization to give the people you clean referrals to get the . mental health services they need. Having a healthier environment is a great stepping stone. And the fact that they are reaching out for help shows they are ready for change. This kind of work takes a strong mind. To go into a chaotic environment and not get so overwhelmed. I applaud you! Great job.
I am SO EXCITED for your upcoming collaboration with MMC-Mack is the best, and so are you! Mack, if you see this-thanks for getting her the mattress! I love you, Barbie, keep doing what you're doing! Your patience, care, and grace is so amazing and beautiful ❤❤
Barbie I admire you so much for your dedication to helping these families!! I can imagine how much joy you brought to this mom and her daughter. Your cleaning skills are amazing. Outstanding job!!!
You’re such an angel. What an amazing example for your two children ❤ I hope your channel blows up like auri and you get the sponsorships and crazy money 🎉
Barbie, you are truly magical! What you did by yourself in 2 days in that house was nothing short of a miracle. You are amazing! I hope with all my heart that your new friend finds her smile again. God bless you both ❤️
People need to realize that calling the children abuse hotline is not the solution. I have a autism son that makes a huge mess on me, plus a mother with dementia and I'm a very organized clean person, but I'm 50 now and the mess is catching up to me and making it very hard to clean my house because you have 2 people constantly making a huge mess in every single room. I spoke to my son's school teacher, and she told me that it is normal to have a messing house with an autism and dementia person. That no one will ever take my son away from me because I can't perform miracles, and it's too much for me. So I can understand people with depression having a messing house with children. May God give you the strength to help all those in need.
Hope this mom gets better, she has a daughter to think of and help her life. You did an amazing job. God Bless this woman and you for your loving help.
I feel like once her house is clean she won't feel like she's drowning and be overwhelmed it will be easier for her to maintain her house I have faith in her that she will succeed 💕
Ten years ago, my life took a sudden, complete 180 turn, mostly due to mental illness. A deep depression soon followed. I always felt like I weighed thousand pounds. My mind went into complete fog. I couldnt figure out where to start. And if i did start cleaning i would soon get so tired and in pain that I'd just quit. Thus my home became very bad for many years. Shame is the biggest thing I felt. I kept my curtains closed all the time. No one came over. I'd look at the mess, turn around and crawl into bed. One of my tricks had been not to wear my glasses so I couldn't see how bad it was. Sad really. Recently, tho I found out I have been autistic spectrum for my whole life. I finally got help that worked. Then a few other positive things happened. And I started cleaning. It was slow at first. I'd do 15 mins then need to lay down for hour. But instead of quitting, I'd get up and do another 15. It took me almost 3 months to completely declutter and deep clean my 900 sq ft home. But I did it and without help. I felt better and better every day. I've maintained my home for over year now. I'm proud of myself. The brain fog is gone. So I get it. My heart goes out to her. I don't think she's a hoarder, but removing the mess and smell will help her feel lighter. I wish her well 🫂 (Chk out "Warrior" by Demi Lovato)
Fantastic! Amazing! That apartment was completely transformed into a lovely, clean place to live. You are an Angel. And big shout out to spin-kicking Midwest Magic for providing a new bed for this lady. He’s awesome. It’s impossible to understand depression. Even the depressed person doesn’t understand it when they are no longer depressed. They think, “I wish I could’ve thought normally back then. I don’t know why my thinking was so unclear.” They feel ashamed always and want to hide. To disappear from all possible judgment because it’s just too painful and shameful. No matter how depressed people react to your help, please always know that you have helped them tremendously. You know they are so much better off in a clean home. There’s now a chance they can have people over. Feel more in control. Not feel as overwhelmed. Not want to hide as much. And then more and more healing can happen. Your help is never ever a waste of time and energy.
When you are clinically depressed, you can't take care of yourself let alone anyone else. You don't "realize" anything because all reasoning skills are shut down. Have some empathy for your fellow human. ❤
Guess I'm different. I've been abandoned with 2 babies, then a second divorce because of his affair with 4 kids by then. I lost everything went threw terrible depression and worked as a welder after being a stay at home mom. We've all had bad things happen. But if you love your children more than yourself you would never let them live like that. Not ever. Excuses have to stop sometime. You don't want to be strong but you have to for yourself and your kids
Your compassion and understanding for the people you help is a wonderful thing to hear: a real blessing when you urge others not to judge as you know how hard it is to even ask for this type of help... Warms my heart- thank you so much for expressing your kindness this way.
Never apologize for helping people and always doing an amazing job. You are obviously the only person that stepped up and tried to help. Thank you for caring so much
Barbie: you are a miracle worker! That was incredible. You did so good again!! I'm so happy for the family. They got a new start and hope that someone cares. You are an angel. I wish all the best for this mom and her family to come. 🍀🍀🍀
Ummmm, great job....i am wondering how long this will last. They lady may need therapy to get her out of this filthy habit. Some people really need help with it.
