Here in this video, I will be showing a timeline of the bloom progression from bud to full bloom and also some pointers about some interesting Plant Facts and Plant Care.
Combretum indicum / Quisqualis indica is commonly known as Rangoon Creeper Vine is a tropical vining plant that is native to Asia from surrounding regions of India to South East Asia and also found in the tropical regions of Africa.
It is cultivated mostly for ornamental purpose however in some countries these are often used as Traditional medicinal usage based on their own unique cultural heritage.
There are few varieties concerning the floral display;
Here in this video - I'm showcasing the multi-petaled type which comes in 3 colors which turns from white flower bud followed by pink and deep red when matured.
There are another variety where it is single petaled type - either comes in 3 colors or only in red, however I had also come across the non-fragrant type too.

I've seen that in the gardens here in the Philippines I think it goes by a different name... you got me curious, I like the flowers and the overall look of the plant... hopefully it's not too expensive, usually when you buy a plant you just don't go for just the one 😉... thanks again for this informative video...

Thank you Michael, A small planted polybag should be cheap or sold reasonable as this is a hardy plant n they are not in trend now, hence should be quite affordable. Thank you so much for your thoughts and support

Goes for about ₱150. My only problem is I'm not sure I have a sunny enough spot, our house only get afternoon sun.
@TropicalGarden

It does need good sunlight for it to thrive. Otherwise the leaves turn light green and struggle to bloom in shade. Good luck and thank you so much for your support and encouragement

So beautiful. Does it smell like jasmine? Since it's a creeper plant, does it mean we need to grow it next to a wall?
@TropicalGarden

Thank you. Its more like night Jasmine fragrance.. It has like a sweet floral fragrance like a past distant memories where you might took a walk in the evening under a canopy. The fragrance floods the atmosphere yet not strong enough to be overwhelmed, rather refreshing and often anchors to each nostalgic memories of childhood.

Not necessarily needed to grown against a wall, however it may need some support to hold its structure or else it would be crawling everywhere

@@TropicalGarden that is such a wonderful description of its fragrance. My mom used to plant jasmine bushes and the scent was so wonderful when they are all in full bloom. I think this would be such a nice plant to have in the garden.

What organic fertilizer will help to bloom.
@TropicalGarden
@TropicalGarden 2 года назад
In most cases - a regular common NPK flowering fertilizer however if the plant had established itself and grown in the ground - it practically blooms naturally regardless whether with or without fertilizer application in the tropical zones.

Sir, my rangoon creeper planted on the ground three months ago even then the growth is very poor. Any suggestion.

@Garden Chronicles of James David my plant was growing well, and having lots of flowering till last month, sudden stop flowering and leaves clour changed to yellow and no more flowering on my plant. The weather is hot in the UAE, and water twice a day.

Ok few things you need to check Sounds like root problem If you find more leaves dropping Then its a danger sign Dig out if it's in a pot. Change to soil medium to a better balanced one with nutrients And repot, see if the roots are overgrown or dying Upsize the pot to a bigger pot. Once repot You will notice new shoots will grow within 2-3weeks time. Hope this helps
