This is the eighteenth video of a set of videos on the complete assembly from scratch and maintenance and repair operations of the legendary Honda Varadero XL1.000-V MAXI-TRAIL motorcycle. In this specific case it is the "injection" (2nd generation from 2003 to 2007).
In this video I show you step by step how I am trying to adapt a universal digital speedometer supposedly compatible with this motorcycle in my Varadero. I have needed a lot of help from our friend Diego from Argentina, because the process has turned out to be more complex and tedious than initially imagined for various reasons, but the main ones have been due to the lack of information and documentation provided by the supplier of the universal digital speedometer by one hand, and on the other hand, the scarcity of this type of necessary information in the official workshop manual of the motorcycle itself. It is the first video of three about this installation, adaptation and subsequent programming of the speedometer.
Belongs to a set of videos about this motorcycle with more than 90 horses (92.53 CV, 67.5 KW) 2 cylinders in V with 4 valves per cylinder, double overhead camshafts per cylinder (DOHC), 6 speeds, double radiator , injection, and a weight of 235 Kgr. That is to say, a real swallow camel.
