Steve: you have the best channel for Stones fans. I've been a Stones freak since the late 70s and you're like the dude I met a party that knows more than me and that I could listen to all night over a smoke and aa bottle of vodka and OJ. Keep it up!!!

@@FlipSideCT Thanks Steve. No worries. The analyses of the making of various Stones albums really resonate with me. For example, your comments about the album cover of Emotional Rescue not really connecting with the fans. I recall feeling the same way when I first bought the album. I wanted to see new pics of Mick and Keith. And we got that. But there were some real gems on that recording, too. Keep well.

Hi Steve - Some great Commander Cody buys. From back in the day where there were fewer genres and more freedom to explore without being put in a pigeonhole. Nice Stones pickups as well. Cheers.

So good to see you back Steve. Nice to hear that you are going ahead with the documentary. I will certainly support you in any way that I can. Happy belated birthday. I hope that you enjoyed it. I have not kept up with the newer Stones releases in a while now. So I had no idea that they performed the whole Sticky Fingers album live. Inside the album it says something about a DVD. Did they include the video of the whole show inside the vinyl? What a nice looking pressing. I do like the bootleg version that you showed as well. I have always loved the honesty of a bootleg. What you hear is what they played. No studio overdubs. Choice selections from your family. You look well. Always the best seeing channel name come up with a new post. Have a super weekend Steve. thank you Rob! for all! I enjoyed my day! this is an awesome Live recording. The DVD is entire show. Search RU-vid, you will find it. I still have some older bought albums to show, but the recent buying lately is limited. The family was kind to me, I also got 2 cool books from my daughter. Phil Kaufman's book....he is the manager that stole Gram's coffin, and also a book about Chess Records. I am enjoying college Basketball, as too cold to go out, and yes, looking forward to go out in a Tshirt. talk soon my friend!

Hey James....it seemed bitter sweet for the fellow. He always mentioned to the buyers, this is from my private collection. But the wifey....was so happy. I thought of it......believe me, but once you go thru the albums, you start saying, I gotta keep this one. I think though it would be a good payoff. cheers

Stoked to see you snagged the 2015 Sticky Fingers Live. Its one of my favourites in the Vault series. Its an amazing set list. I know you're going to love it. I recently got the latest Vault release, Grrr Live! I thought they sounded great. Mick's voice in particular was clear and crisp throughout the show. Recommended!

I should have gotten it earlier, as I saw the price steepen I had to make the move now. I will keep it going and get Grrr, there are some sweet cuts on it. $60 for 3 albums is still good.

Hey T&P.....yes, some proud vinyl! The record industry has to be very careful......I just can not see justification in spending $500 for a multi color album set or $40-$60 for albums just for collecting. Thanks for the Academy info. It costs me about $25 just to get there with tolls/gas. A sure special trip, otherwise I would go more often . cheers

Hey Tim. Never saw it before....so I could not hesitate. A few of the songs are fuzzy recordings. I will see how funding goes. I know how tough it is with financials, Eggs are almost a $1 each, bottom line. My vinyl purchases are minimal. I was lucky to get some birthday $ for these. Like your new Stones vinyls too 😁💖🎶 I still think that vinyl is the best format to enjoy muzik! Vinyl has got those warm thick deep bass tones that the other formats of listening to muzik don't seem to capture. Plus, you get the full-size cover art and inner artwork.

@@FlipSideCT Record stores in Serbia are based in Belgrade and couple in bigger cities like Novi Sad, Nis.. I prefer record shows, Belgrade has 2 monthly with very good vendors, I always find something for me for reasonable price.

They got me…I broke down and bought the mono colored vinyl Vox set. Much better price direct from Abkco. Sounded good….just expected a bit more….on the level of the Bob Dylan Mono Box Set (that I got at a criminal price!). Heard some of the cuts differently and but was disappointed in the quality of the lp reproduction jackets . They all needed a good cleaning….anyone else have issues with GZ Media pressings? Nice record scores. It still a lot of fun, specially used. So glad to see and hear you and excited for your new project. I look forward to chipping in!

thanks for your support and keeping me going! Hmmm....sounded is "good" is not sounded "Great" at that price. shite! that is a shame. I am not a MONO listener, and had no interest in it. But did hear mixed on this, and understand that first series got crazy prices. It would be interesting to hear the differences. That would be a nice video to compare it. Hope someone responds to your question. Yes, working on the project now.....it is fun to have my own creativity in making this!

Good to see a video from you Steve. I use to have a lot of Commander Cody but I just never really got into him, I guess he just wasn’t my cup of tea. The Vault series sound interesting. It is pep and fun music, and something I will be able to share with the wife, well minus a few. Any of the Vaults are worth getting. Yes, I need to show my Stones books and collection, which is not as big as you may think compared to what I have seen by real geek collectors. doing well.....thank you!

FlipSide Steve, great seeing/ listening to you today, eagerly looking forward to The Honky Tonk Projec, one final thing when you have watched Sticky Fingers Box set you could do worse than maybe a review of that down the road a little, only downside/complaint for me is I wish they had done it in 2014 when Mick Taylor was on board, that said it's still great. Haven't got the Grrr Prudential 2012 Blu ray yet as I am holding out for the Japanese version which has the Gorilla dancers from the original show at the begining which is not on the standard US/European version.

Commander Cody I never saw in the UK, but you see a lot of theirs in thrifts in the USA. You may have made a few dealers day by paying more than 1/2 dollars for them?

@@FlipSideCT Quite a few records one often finds in thrifts, fleas, yard sales for a dollar or so can appear in some stores, shows, online these days for a lot more. A store near me was selling King's Tapestry the other day for 19$, vgplus. I find that one 10-20x a year for a dollar. I used to leave it but now if vg plus pick it up and stick it online for 6/7$. It does sell as well.
