This channel is for Vinyl Community (showing albums) AND for my Documentaries that I make. Documentaries are varied throughout this channel. The primary docs are for The Rolling Stones. A member (geek) of the Vinyl Community that loves collecting Vinyl Rock and Roll (all genres), Blues and some Jazz. Like to show my vinyl finds, and turn people on to new bands or anything RnR related. Also like to see what others find and hear the tales. Learning the ins and outs of vinyl collecting and prices. Best of all, reconnecting myself to the past and learning more about the music I missed out on growing up.
At 9.07 this is a guitar I bought from Johnny Thunders at the Chelsea Hotel which Keith stole from me at my Trax showcase which I got two guitars to replace from Chuch McGee and Jane Rose...
Welcome Leon!! so glad to see you here and commenting. Wow,, I know of his guitar takings, but did not realize you were a victim. Kudos for Chuch and Jane for coming thru for you! thanks for sharing.
Love your Rolling Stones documentaries Steve 😁🎶👊🏽👑🕺🎵🥁🎹 I know I told you like a hundred times, but I love music and The Rolling Stones like you do. I like how you edit the documentaries and how you capture the decade and the time period vand bring it to life along with your enthusiastic narration. I watchum over and over. And GREAT NEWS from my end, Steve. I FINALLY have a lawyer taking care of my Sony Music business. After I straighten that out, I plan on being a contributor to your work.🎵🎶🥁🎹 Thanks again for the AWESOME ROLLING STONES documentaries and I look forward to watching your newest latest. I'll send you some of my hot new original muzik after I produce my brand new 🔥🔥🆕 original songs. You'll be one of the first to hear!
thank you as always. always a pleasure my friend. so glad you are moving forward with your musical side! been a battle. I am working on Exile STP Tour Part 3, and will be part 4, there is so much. yes, let me know when your tunes are live. cheers
Soit responsable ,heu excusez moi Respectable . Les Rollings stones , nous le disent . L'époque Punk , c'était à l' inverse des stones . Mais peut importe pour les stones. Ils passent partout . C'est ça le Rock ❤❤❤❤❤
I can here to learn/ Brilliant? I've been writing songs most of my life. know local guys who could destroy Lou with one finger and no it's not about shredding its about songs. Feel free to like what you like I mean that but I swear millions were hypnotized ,something happened. He slammed the Beatles years back until he realized they were brilliant pop song writers. Lou wrote so many songs about perversion and little else form what I've tried to stomach. I mean no offense I really tried with this guy. Good documentary though!
I love the Stones but this album was slightly disappointing for me. There are some songs here, Hey Negrita, Hand of Fate, Memory Motel, Crazy Momma but I could leave the rest. Luckily the next studio album was brilliant.
I can not say you are wrong, that is your taste. It was surely different, which is what makes them brilliant. Too bad you do not hear what many of us do to enjoy this beauty. thanks for sharing
I won the CHUM FM contest and took my buddy to the Saturday show. We each wrote in and agreed to take each other.Paul had a beer with Maggie Trudeau and spent the evening lighting Bill Wyman's girlfriend Astrid's cigarettes. After the show, Ted Newman Jones (Keith's guitar tech) let me look at Keith's 5 string Zemaitis guitar. Ted let me stand with him in front of Keith for a song and when it finished, Keith took a large swig from the bottle of Rebel Yell on his amp. With a smile, he quipped, "Got through that one".

I’m sure others have mentioned it, but there were other Stones gatefold sleeves (Satanic Majesty’s Request & Beggar’s Banquet) for studio LPs prior to Black & Blue. Did you mean after leaving Decca?
we totally agree, and that tells me you do get it! so many folks / so called fans turn it down,. There is absolutely no reason to, if you are a TRUE fan! thanks for sharing
GHS was my first Stones album. I still love it and I would include it in the great album run... Beggars Banquet to and including It's Only Rock n Roll.
In 1930 Bud Jamison, who played the lawyer for the Three Stooges in "Disorder in the Court," was the lead singer for the Rolling Stones. A brief series of color travelogues filmed in 1930, featured Bud Jamison and comic Jimmie Adams as the Rolling Stones, two singing vagabonds seeing the country.
By The way Back up singer Nanette Workman a good friend of mine , is her real name not Nanette Newman. It was a stage name. Im proud to see her mentioned here
when i saw the in 73 in Tucson, Keith was doing 3 foot long lines of blow from the drum riser with a 3 foot long 'tube' i guess i would call it---they were bad, they began a song in the wrong key and had to begin again---stevie wonder was better than they were
ahhhh Tuscon 72' STP.....know it well. I am working on that documentary now. A drug infested RnR tour. thanks for sharing. Maybe I might mention it Rich.
@@FlipSideCT bill graham almost threw me out, like an idiot i went up to him and patted his face telling him it's gonna be a great show--he called me a little cunt and said he should throw my ass out--he didn't--i was absolutely in the wrong
I really have to say "Thank You", man. It's long overdue! Around 2 years ago I was in a bad, bad place. I'm loathe to give Sob Story details but this was a real f*cking living Nightmare I wouldn't wish on any other person. Anyway, during that dark period I discovered your Stones docs and I watched or listened to them many times. Long time Stones fan here and you refreshed material I'd played to death. There's so much craft and depth and love in your work. I've never enjoyed a Stones doc or book as much as I enjoy your videos and they were a real source of pleasure and solace to me on many a dark and sleepless night. I really can't overstate my Gratitude, man!! Thank you 😎✌️🎶
put a smile on my face JS.....really! First off, glad you are in a better place, and got around those dark shadows that lurk around and haunt many. Very cool to hear this, and for sharing it! Makes it all worth while to share with a TRUE STONES fan! Working on PART 3 now STP tour. good stuff!!
Definitely in a better place now, my friend! I'm making my way through Exile Pt 1 and enjoying it thoroughly. There are many Stones fans here in Glasgow, Scotland and I've been recommending your channel to anyone who'll listen! My brother is a filmmaker and I have some idea of what it takes to make something this good! So thanks again for your work and your reply, my friend! God Bless 🙏✌️🎸🎷
@@johnscott6960 nice! thank you for your support. Glasgow is a sure bucket list for me. Just a dream, to roam the countryside. Yes, it is plenty of work for sure. someone has got to do it! cheers
@@FlipSideCT It's a great city to live in for sure. If you do happen to make it over I'll buy you a drink! Or we could jam on some Stones tunes 🎸🎶 Keep up the good (excellent) work! ✌️
Black & Blue is among my favorites. Each track has its own personality. Hand of Fate, Memory Motel, Crazy Mama among thier best works. I would have liked to hear more of Alan Perkins, he kills it on Hand of Fate!
@@jamesalfano5740 right James. B&B is just brilliance, and an album not many get, which is why I make these. Keep on watching other parts. thanks for sharing
@@FlipSideCT Thanks for posting this rare treat. This album came out when I was in JR. Highschool, when I was trying to form a band (I play guitar) with a singer Ronnie rip ,who was a Stones diehard, & another guitarist Lenny.Mark rip drums, Black & Blue, Love You Live & Some Girls, were what we were into. Sticky fingers is actually my personal favorite. This was put together so well, many things I never knew. Thanks again.
@@jamesalfano5740 sweet to hear. We have a parallel timeframe, as I was in 9th grade for this one, and did not realize what hit me. We were going to watch Battle of the Bands play Stones, plenty. But cool you were also hit with the bug. I picked up the guitar a few years later, and did plenty of jams to Love You Live in my basement, until my mother tells me to lower it some. Glad you can appreciate this all. Keep it going, I am sure you will learn more from these, as I did!
Cool documentary. Really enjoyed it and going down memory lane. Walter was one of my best friends in NYC. I had the pleasure To work with him and got a big surprise when he took me to his show in the Continental. Tony and Charley were a hoot , Sincere and awesome friends❤
very cool to see this and thank you for sharing. one of my favorite docs I made as I learned so much. I heard from Walter's friend Martin (from the other band), who gave me the blessing also. So it is great to hear. Walter is known, but not to the masses of more Rock n Rollers which is why I make these. cheers and enjoy the others,
as a British lad yourself, did you know that a squire back in the 1400s, early 1500s invented punk fashion, if you are stupid you will tell me I'm wrong, well Mr wrong please go to the British Museum, his coat is in the museum, so punk really started in the UK, back in 1400s, that lad was the only one in the whole world, to create what is called punk today, and bring back videos and pictures too,..if you don't believe me, then go, but you better wipe your eyes twice, because it's true, not false,............marius(punk rules).
There's a version out there of Mick singing "You Got The Silver" so it wasn't really lost or wiped. They released the one with Keith's vocal simply because it was the better of the two versions.
I'm enjoying your documentary. I'm hoping if i watch part two, I'll hear about this mythical concert for charity ( court ordered ) , i heard about bootleg recordings of " Blind Date " .. the concert event Keith played as part of his punishment [The New Barbarians].
Excellent work! As much as I love The Stones what I really appreciate about these documentaries is how they show the culture of the time that gave rise to them. I can watch every one of your docs at-length and not turn away with boredom. If someday there are awards given out for noteworthy, independent productions on social media, you should be given one. Keep up the great work!
thank you so much Paul for taking this ride with me, and seeing it the way I do. I make these as a fan for the fan. Someone had to do it, and get a more comprehensive flow. cheers and enjoy the others.
This album has grown on me over the years and definitely has a dark, dank, comedown vibe that is all it’s own in the Stone’s catalog. The strings on Angie, Winter, and Coming Down Again are beautiful.
Hi Sam, I sorry, I have a not, there was something wrong, but not sure. I think I tried to send or text, but never got a response. We will figure this out. Is there some how an email you can send here so I can email you the link. I will tell you when I get it and you can delete it. I usually check my YT everyday.
I know you’re very busy-I’ve tried several times to include my email in a comment but it seems to disappear. In the long term this might be much easier if you posted an email that was dedicated solely to issues regarding receiving access to your video. At this point I’ve tried to get you my email on PayPal and RU-vid-I’m just going to enjoy whatever excellent videos you put up and I hope my small contribution helps!!!

@@FlipSideCT I'm sure being dropped from the band and relegated to being a part-time pianist and full-time roadie didn't help him evolve musically the same way Keith & Brian did. That being said, there are worse jobs than the one he had.
