At 82 yrs of age I have been without my sweet momma since i was 21. Oh how I miss her and look forward to seeing her again. It's okay to miss your momma. That just means you love her!!!

Oh, that makes me sad for you. My Mom died 5 or more years ago. I purposefully because I just can't bear knowing how long it's been without her. I loved reading your post and knowing that there is someone else out there who misses their mom's as much as I do. I know you will have a great reunion.

@@clothingline3886 Ever since I was a little girl I have been churched. Now you do the math and that means about 80 yrs. Also, occasionally my mom is in my dreams. We are shopping for fabric, I am a quilter, and it is always in technicolor. I am blessed to find great comfort in my faith and in those impromptu visits.

Bev, you make everyplace special and beautiful. The tile stickers are so lovely, and thanks to you a Mason Cash bowl is probably in my future 😊. My mother has been gone for seven months and I think every day “I’m going to have to tell Mother this, it will make her so happy, and then I remember again she’s not here; maybe she does know. I have many happy memories with her, I’m lucky. You are inspirational, your items are so beautiful. Since you stirred memories of my mother I decided to take a very heavy antique hammered aluminum Dutch oven that she made fudge in for many years and make a display for a corner of my kitchen placing a cocoa box, a wooden spoon, a lovely kitchen towel inside, maybe use some greenery and add a little bird (we shared a love of them) for a reminder or her. Have fun creating.

I must tell you in one of your recent videos you talked about bringing out your inner child and it hit me that I have been doing the same thing and didn't know it.. Thank you. I have moved into my elderly mother's house who is bedridden to care for her. I am using her old sewing room as a bedroom. I left most of my things ( not all) in storage and I am filling my room with thrifted items that makes my heart happy . Warm wishes to you and yours. BTW I am Velma too.

Just love love everything you do. Twenty years ago we moved from a 2400 square foot house with porches, balconys and a screened in porch with a beautiful view of a lake into a 1200 dquare foot little house. It is on a lake. The Lord made a way for us to be closer to pur daighter and my Mom. So I decided that my little house would be a cottage and I would bloom where I was planted . We did a lot of painting, putting down new floors, new front porch floor and I could go on and on. It's so good to see you making this house come to life. Can"t wait for your next video. You are such a lovely person with lots and lots of talent. Hope I didn't make to many mistakes in typing this. I am 82 years of age and still enjoy decorating. God Bless you and your family!!❤❤❤

I love French Country! I've gone through many phases in my life, but now that I'm older, I love the nostalgia of old items! I love your show, the way you decorate, and that you are not one of these modernist minimalists. My daughters think I have too many items - but I love them all and I want to display them! Seeing you display many items in a vignette makes me happy, and give me so many ideas. I consider these items treasures, and even if no one else wants to seem them I DO! I like your thoughts on the lamps reflecting from the mirror and those tassels are adorable too! And can we talk about those hydrangeas? I need them in my life ASAP! I just started watching your videos this summer. I am enjoying them so much, as I love the finer details in a home that make it a home. My 21 yr old granddaughter just bought her first home. She wants her home to feel like mine, so I sent her the little blue fly link, and she's hooked! So, you have 2 generations here sharing all the beauty!

I love your channel so much and was missing your decorating! I was so happy to see the notification that you had posted a new episode! Was out at an estate sale this morning and found a stunning French country rooster already painted the beautiful burlap color as you had done 2 years ago. Was only $24! Can’t wait to decorate for fall! It will be the centerpiece of my dining room just like you done a few years back. Thank you for all you do to bring joy to our lives. I'm a N.Virginia native (Fairfax Co) who, through the sickness of an aging parent, made a permanent move out of state in mid-life. I miss the DMV, and when you said Merrifield Garden Center that instant moment of recognition brought a smile to my face. So nice to connect with someone who is familiar with home. I love blue and white! It's nice to see it used in your lovely design, and I agree with your design aesthetic of balancing high and low items (i.e. elegant with rustic). Looking forward to seeing how things progress with the rest of the house!
