This is the poem my father CREATED. He would recite this to me as a little girl, his youngest of five children every evening when he came home.
My father is French and mother German. This descent created my deep love for decorating all things Whimsy, French Country, Old World and Primitive.

Love hearing you speak of your childhood. I lived in Atwater Ca for 4 years of my childhood. We lived on Elm, down the street from the towns water tower. ❤
@@TheLittleBlueFly I have good childhood memories there. Families Mr and Mrs. Purarows (spelling not right), the Steins, the Jantz, all good people. I was nine when we moved away but always thought of it as home .❤️🫶🏻

This is my first visit and I’m curious about what state you’re in and the year the house you’re in was built. I love old houses, there’s quite a few in Tyler Texas not far from me and I love just driving around looking at them. Neato video, loved it. 😊
Please consider taking your decorating up a notch with dried botanicals and natural elements. You have to much creativity a d flair to bring the look down with faux florals and greenery.
@@mpbenva I have stated in many of my videos that dried floral will absolutely be coming. I have worked with them in the past several times. Faux florals are great when mixed with dry naturals.
I think we all would love to see you unbox your goodies, when I find some of the items I put away after a while I too get excited and I also switch things around

I think watching the process and making a “lemon into lemonade” is a great idea! It can be so daunting to walk into a new situation and try to make the best of the experience. So, I think that while you are specifically decorating a home , this principle can be applied to all of life!! A positive attitude can be a powerful tool in life! It’s interesting watching the unpacking reminded me of moves that our family has done and I wasn’t as positive as you while unpacking!! Lol!! Love the video and I think the cottage is darling!
