Stop putting yourself down, Corina! The way your did your embroidery give character to your project. You taught me the stacked stitch & I have been using ever since. I watch & learn from your films. I learn how to crochet by watching the hands & how they work the thread. People don't learn that way anymore. Thanks.
Can you imagine someone actually turning a video off because of your color choice? I am laughing so hard over here I'm crying. This turned out really cute, thanks for sharing your talents!
I love that you can look at a picture and re-create it! That is an awesome talent! And you already gave the written pattern a go so now it SHOULD be your interpretation… I very much enjoyed watching this video and your whole process!!! Great job!🥳🤩🥰
I think it's gorgeous! Just because something doesn't turn out how you thought it would, doesn't make it any less special! You made an incredible effort and that's really all that matters because it comes from the heart.
I love the color selection you landed on. I admire how brave you are, trying unfamiliar skills on camera like this. We were all beginners at everything, once upon a time. You learn and grow with every video and creative process you share with us. Thank you.
I liked the first choice of colors, would have been nice to see that cheerful-looking scarf, but the final choice looks nice as well. Also, the half dc are a better choice for a scarf. I think as a blanket to be used in a charriage, a single crochet would have been denser and kept the wind out better. Love your enthusiasm and humor 🙂! I'm never disappointed :-) . Just do things your way, Corinna!
I'm glad you did this. You don't have to learn to embroider unless you want to, and I'm sure there are a ton of channels here that can help get you started. I never seriously looked into it, but I did my share of counted cross stitch back in the day, and completely avoided plastic canvas because, to me, it didn't quite have the same appeal. Just as with crochet and knitting, it's up to you to decide how good you want to be at it. Do what your heart desires, you always make it happen!
Corina, I have learned so much watching your mystery patterns although I’ve been crocheting for years. Listening to you, and watching you figure out unexplained or omitted processes, has taught me how to critically think on patterns I didn’t understand. You’re an amazing teacher! Thank you for keeping everything real and inserting humor in frustrating situations.
as someone who dabbles and embroiders i feel myself judging a little bit, but then i remember i cannot crochet so you're doing a lot better than me this pattern! you're doing an awesome job and i love your channel so much!
You did a great job on this. I love the colors and I gain confidence in my own style by watching your videos! I am so glad there’s no crochet police to stop us from creating our own work of art!😊
A fellow gamer and crocheter, how nice! :D I think your adaptations of the pattern are very good. I agree with the stitches you used and the colours are pretty. :)
I love it!!!! One thing for the embroidery, when doing the petals, you should try starting each stitch from the center, instead of starting next to where the last stitch ended(I hope that makes sense). Amazing job deducing a pattern once again! Thank you for not giving up on it!!! ❤❤❤
Turned out great, I would just edge with 1 row of single crochet in the brown to match your joining stitches. For the embroidery the picture looks like the stars are all the same length, to get that I would cut a square out of paper or card & turn it to diamond shape & use that to give a guide for the length of stitches. I think the hdc looks more like the picture….good call & your colours work so well for spring. Love it👏👏❤️❤️🇬🇧
Looks amazing Corrina.. I love how you make these patterns your own .. also love the choice of colours looks great ❤️oh and I also love your new logo xx
I admire your willingness to go out of your comfort zone. With that said, I would say that using the single crochet would have given you a base that would have been easier to get even spacing on the stars. I would have preferred the stars to have been all in one color. One of the great things about making things ourselves is e we can do what speaks to ourselves. In addition, as someone who also embroiders, you shouldn’t have used a double strand of yarn. In the picture, the definition of the ‘petals’ comes from making two stitches for each petal. It also keeps the strands from getting twisted. This video certainly gave me ideas of what to do for my next baby afghan.
I'm so glad you came back to this pattern, it turned out so pretty! You made me laugh with the "79th color change"😂😂. I do things like that all the time. And I'm not sure if I learned this from you or from another RU-vid channel, but when the center of the yarn comes like that you/they called it 'yarn vomit'! 😂😂😂 Love hearing you laugh and have fun in your videos again. ❤❤❤
I loved it! It made me want to try it too. Maybe with cold colours, trying to make like "snowfleakes"? No? 😂😂😂 I identify myself so much with you, girl.
Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful!!!! I love your tenacity for this project!!! you definitely inspire me to find myself in crocheting. im a newbie...1-2yrs
Some people: "How dare you deviate from the pattern! UNSUBSCRIBE!!" Tries doing it themselves and they can't figure it out how to make it work either.😂😂 You rekindled my interest in crocheting again ❤
Okay I freaking love this. I want to make it. I don't know what I'd do with it, maybe a pillow? I don't know but that's so cute! And I LOVE the colors you went with. I see the vision 🤣 but yeah, this is now on my never ending, always growing, list of projects. When I eventually get to it I'll try to remember to send you a picture 🖤🥰
it looks pretty cool to me. i like it. you could do so many different things with this pattern. i was seeing a pillow cover there.❤ thank you for sharing.!!!❤
You did a great job! I have to say I wasn't sure about the brown when you first mentioned it, but it looks very nice! With the colors you chose, it would make a pretty baby girl afghan. Have a great day!
I play DayZ. Just had a major update to the game, so most of the game is pretty much broken now, pending updates to fix the stuff the update broke. As expected. Luckily I'm getting in an order of yarn today. Just finished up two crochet projects I've been working on, and the new yarn is going to be for the start of another big blanket that I'm excited about, so it's all good. FPS/survival gaming and crochet have likely saved me from incarceration because stabbing people in the neck is frowned upon irl. Much love!
Can I just say you are so funny?! I love your commentary and the sass that comes out sometimes. 😂 Also, I wholeheartedly trust your decisions when it comes to these vintage crochet patterns. You’ve done enough of them to know how they work and what the writers are probably trying to say, so any changes you want to make go for it! I think as long as it doesn’t steer too far from the original design. 😊
I think you're a little sample would make a nice sweater front. It could easily be adjusted for size up to quadruple X or bigger by either more panels or just widening each panel. All of the vertical lines would be rather slimming. If people needing larger sizes had narrower columns and more of them, it would be more slimming to them rather than widening.
It is kind of a fun gam to figur it out a bit like a puzzle . I like it and it doesn't matter if you are the greatest and mostbperfect chrocheter/ embroider/knitter of the world you are entertaining and it is fun to watsh. This would have worked with linked hdc.
Hello Corrina, cute little project today on the carriage wrap. I like the colors you chose they look very nice together. Looking forward to see it completed in the next video. Thank you.
