1860s USA - Heartbreaking Photos of Civil War (America in Color)
The civil war claimed the lives of approximately 620.000 young men, tore families apart, and shaped a nation. The conflict holds immense historical significance.
In this video, we honor the courage of the brave souls who endured this tumultuous period, a conflict that played a pivotal role in ending a brutal practice in the United States.
Today we're bringing these war-torn images to life in vivid color.

Not enough time to read the heading and enjoy the picture, slow it down.

I agree. English is not my native language, so i need some time to read it too. Pictures were already gone before i could take a good look at them.😔

A lot died. In the 19th century, only the Napoleonic wars claimed more victims.

When you're told what you're seeing, it's like you're wearing a certain pair of glasses. How about this pair? What if it really wasn't a civil war, but something else?

Well, the south desired to leave the union and form its own country. The ‘destruction’ of their society was incidental to keeping them in the union and not the primary cause of the war

@@lexbro You don't know that for sure. It's also likely that the story of the civil War is a myth, incidental to the wanton destruction of another society. You just believe what you want to believe, according to your emotions and prejudices.
