1863 Antique Rusty Cherry Pitter - Restoration 

Today I'm restoring an old and very rusty antique cherry pitter from 1863!
I bought this cherry pitter from a local market and immediately liked the simple design.
I started by sandblasting it to remove the rust, then powder coating to bring back to life.
I hope you like my work and video.
Apologies for not showing a working demonstration at the end of the video but once I had finished the restoration I couldn’t find any fresh cherries locally.
Gone are the days of having anything you wanted all year round.
Lesson learnt.
