At 64, I remember Wild One like it was yesterday. I was a Hill fan then, and remain one today. While I've always liked her music, my admiration has remained intact because of the person she's shown to the world over the decades; an unapologetic Southern woman through and through. She's gracious in beauty, and refreshingly honest and bold in self-expression. She loves her man and children with a fierce, unshakable passion and devotion I understand. Whatever she's doing, she wears it well. And while McGraw has proven to be an excellent actor, Hill is an equal force in 1883. It's becoming apparant that whether it's on stage or on-set in here in Texas, the pair make magic together.
As Elsa said, while watching her, “she’s magnificent!” I love 1883! Tim and Faith are superb together. The cast and the writing are wonderful. I look forward to every episode.
I've shed a tear through every episode. Taylor is by far my most admired story teller. The casting is perfect. The storylines are incredible. I just want more! Tim and Faith are inspirational for both onscreen and offscreen. How can you not love 1883?
Love love love this show. I am so hungry to see more Episodes. It is heartfelt, real, funny & fun. Great show for all ages. Can’t wait to see more. Great story. Thanks 💐
LOVE 1883!!! What’s better than having both of your most favorite country singers, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill be in one of the best new TV series. Great acting from the cast! Really love it 💕💕💕💕💕🐂🐎
She is an awesome actress this role fits her and she did an amazing job! I have enjoyed the show thus far! Coyotes, Deer and Herding Bull you have to have Faith in this role!
This reminds me of a story my Mom told. We are from South Georgia and she was from a large family of 11 kids. My grandpaw was a cotton and tobacco farmer. Mom said plowing season in the Springtime in the afternoon when it was time to go back home. He would place the kids on both plow mules and say hang on. She said it was a terrifying ride back to the barn but they did it time after time.
Hey if you have horses in your life you're bound to have issues! 1883 is really something thank God for VOD because it's so hard to wait 6 days in between episodes it's a great great TV show
She's great!!! I love this show. Sam Elliot, His Mustache, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Billy Bob, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, etc.!! I heard rumors of Brad Pitt and Daniel Day Lewis as well. Talk about star power! Best show on TV
This show actually made me want to learn to ride. I find it incredible that Faith and Tim haven't ridden for 20 years while Isabel has never ridden before! That's just mind blowing. I guess the Cowboy Camp is pretty good. Where do I sign up?
A barn sour horse is dangerous… and clearly She understands she allowed this behavior in her horse without realizing it. She’s great in 1883 and I’m really enjoying the show. Amazing cast and fantastic skills displayed by all ❤️🇺🇸
Wow, that last part made me respect both of them so much more. Faith proves she is so humble and not into herself with the comment" you don't have time for that shit:"
Faith was fantastic! I loved her role as Margaret! She was tough and needed to be in “1883!” She didn’t put up with anyone rude from James to the cook!
WOW!! Noone told you that you barn soured your horse? I'm a ranch girl and come from from a rodeo family ( team roping, steer wrestling, calf roping, barrel racing, etc....) and was taught a long time ago that you DO NOT run your horses back home, EVER
Ever, the "back to the barn horse" is the faster version of them going out. I just had a bad fall and after 50 years in the saddle, I have some PTSD. Not easy to shake it.
Love the show. We live on a ranch and have horses, even like the part where he doesn't like his horse eating. Enjoy the actors talking about some of life challenges
The whole cast is amazing! And Faith is incredible, as is Isabel May. Tim is wonderful too. I absolutely love Yellowstone, but this show has me thinking it may be even better!
I think Faith Hill was a bit nervous in the 1st and 2nd episode and has improved greatly with each new one. She is becoming a major player and I enjoy each new episode of her performance. Watch out Hollywood, there is a new major player in town. Plus this show is so beautifully nn and acted I will be shocked and even saddened if all players are not nominated for emmys. It is that good!!!
I had that happen to me too Faith at Riding Stables. I was Shocked! Didn't See That Coming!!! 😳😂 l still Ride Horses. Have since Owned one and Taken Lessons. I want Another!!! 💝
Since this series will be short lived, I hope our new favorite writer will have another similar one. If you haven’t watched his Mayor of Kingstown you are missing out. From previews I didn’t think I would like it. It’s violent and NOT FOR KIDS.
My grandma and my great grandmothers and fathers were from New Mexico and my grandmother said she had some Navajo. I heard some stories from our great great Tia “ auntie”. When I was 15 we’d go to NM to visit. She still lives in a very old Adobe home that is a landmark there. I remember the front "L" shaped home was a little shop to sell meat. They still had the old fashion stuff in it from back then. She told stories how when the Indians would come & the women had to hide in a cellar under the kitchen table. The men would cover it with a rug and put the table over it. Sometimes for 3 days they be in the cellar under the table. Because the Indians would raid and stay until all the food was gone and alcohol if they had some. She said the more food and alcohol the longer they stayed. If there was women they’d take them. I’m not sure what tribe she spoke of. She said she remembers them wearing the small flap of leather over the front and back part of the butt. She still had a huge wood burning stove to cook on. "If any producer wants more info I can hook them up to the family," her daughter Josie lives to 104. Last time I saw her was in 2010. My grandma said when she was a little girl she had to walk far to a river to get water to fill the metal tub. Boil it, pour it in the tub. Walk to the river bring another bucket to boil and pour it. Back and forth for couple hours. When she came back with the last bucket her cousin Manuel was sitting naked in the metal tub bathing. She was only around 14 maybe a bit younger. She got so mad she said she grabbed a metal bar used for pushing fire and started hitting him with it. He jumped out naked as a jay bird and ran home crying, he was around her age too. She said she always felt bad for that. Manuel was a handsome man and good dancer. All the young ladies liked him. But when he went to fight WW2 he got hit in the head with a bomb pieces and rest of his life he was messed up. He had a metal plate on his scull. I remember as a small child he’d call us little Indians and chase us. Fun, until he started believing we were Indians and tried to get mean with us. I wish they’d do a spin off on true depiction of the Native American Indian and where they are the main characters. I am now watching 1923 and watching what the native Americans female went through is heart breaking. I loved both shows and would love another season, I also wish they’d show a relationship with a white woman and a Native American and the hardship they would have faced in a bi-racial marriage.
Me too. I have been really angry at the Country Music industry because of the way so many embraced Trumpism but something about watching Tim and Faith has eased the pain. I think they are great ambassadors for bridging the divisions between Americans during these crazy times. That may sound hyperbolic when discussing a television show but the little things can make a difference.
Had one take off on me hauling ass through the woods. I just let him go and trusted that he’d miss the trees. He did. Then exited the woods and jumped a huge ditch at full run, me hanging on for dear life. He finally stopped when he hit the asphalt road. I made it and so did the horse.
Well if I remember right Faith said she had never heard Joplin's version of Take a piece of my heart and it took me until the 2nd verse of Faith's version to realize it was a cover. That is my favourite type of cover, show me your talent not try to copy someone else.
I understand ...I had a incident 2xs one when i was sixteen and another when i was 24 only times i rode a horse very very tramatic both times the horse just took off running as fast as he could i was by no means experienced riding a horse we went about 2 miles before he decided to stop I was so scared I haven"t been on one since and I"am 73 they can kill you
My family has a ranch on the North Dakota, Montana border. There is some good stories passed down through the Generations my great-great grandfather he hired some Drifter stablehand, after he fired this guy he went a few farms over and murdered the whole family that was in the house he was burglarizing. They tracked him down and hung him from a tree. Teddy Roosevelt was actually the deputy Sheriff, but I don't know if he ever knew that the guy receive some vigilante justice.
I think they took Clara out too soon she was great, well there all great! Love the show but don’t like that they took it off paramount then made us pay for paramount+ but I can say after the show is over I can always drop it!
So where has Isabel May been all her life? She didn't know who Tim or Faith were, she'd never heard of them or their music, and in another interview she said 'thank goodness Lonesome Dove was only one movie', however, there was Commanche Moon, Deadman's Walk, Lonesome Dove, Return to Lonesome Dove, and Streets of Laredo. Even a mini-series years later called Lonesome Dove the Miniseries. I know she's young, but she lived in LA all her life, did she never hear of these things? Just sayin'
I really could care less for Yellowstone. It is not bad but it just does not capture me. 1883 on the other hand, I can not get enough of. All the characters are great but think about it. Is there anything out there that is bad with Mr. Sam Elliott in it? No.
It's is an entertaining show but when you factor in the liberal gun views of Tim and Sam I find it funny they make their living with the guns. Also Tim is like 5' 10" and weighs a buck fifty soaking wet, yet he beats guys like he's Conor McGeger. Entertaining but laughable too.
Personally, out of the main lead cast Faith Hill in my opinion is the least important or relevant character on the show. Sam Elliott , Tim McGraw and Isabel May along with Lamonica Garrett carry this show totally. Faith Hill would not be missed in future episodes and the show would not suffer if she was absent unlike if any of the other main characters were not there.
he's not anti-gun, that's just the narrative the far right has pushed whenever someone says they believe in gun control. he thinks there is some more common sense that needs to go into gun control and doesn't think military weapons should be in the hands of civilians.
He is not anti-gun, that's just something that conservatives tried to say because he spoke one time about maybe having some type of gun control in our country
*Sooo...in other words she 'peed her pants' when horsy got too rambunctious!* ( *This can also occur w/the 'rear-ejection portal' with multiple births* )
