This needs a repeat on Challenge! Interesting that Charles Foster is introducing the programme from the continuity booth at Granada, as well as providing the voiceover during the programme itself. Sue Robbie was also a Granada announcer, and may at some point have introduced her own show!
I know that Sue Robbie most certainly introduced an episode of First Post when she was hosting Children's ITV, so she definitely introduced herself for that. I'm not sure if she was still doing continuity for Granada by the time Connections started, but maybe...
There was a North West Connections with Richard Madeley in 1988-89,then a few final series with Simon Potter in 1989-90.I should know as I went to one recording at the former!
Wait a SECOND this is repeat of the second series? Are you sure this isn't Friday, 16 January 1987. That the last time it mid morning repeat appeared on Granada. I wonder why sue said the Autumn? It never got broadcast until Late January, or 17 April for four of the ITV companies. Fourth series wasn't networked and STV and Grampian did not broadcast it.
623058top Oh it might be the 16th as it's a repeat. I worked out the date from a news report which followed shortly afterwards, but that was still a bit of guesswork!
