Great footage Horst! Depth perception can be tricky. A friend of mine flew his foamie Corsair right into a big oak tree since he thought it was a lot closer than it was.

Thanks Jeff. Sometimes sh*t happens. Most of modellers have been in the same situation. Wrong "measurement" easily can end in a disaster. In this case the damage of the Corsair looks very bad but "only" minor deformations occurred. The plane will be repaired and airborne again in 2016

I drove a .40 sized trainer right through the wall of a portable classroom when I was learning to fly. I could have sworn the plane was 100 feet closer to me than it actually was! lol

A thing of nostalgia and beauty, the Fortress. Fantastic footage Horst, as so often - love those close-up ground shots. The sound of 4 Kolms just made it. You could almost blink and think it was the real thing. Great seeing the fighters up with it... plenty of smoke. :) Pity about the Corsair - I think I have landed on corn at least twice! Could have been worse I guess.

At this event, I had permission to move freely on the airfield. The pilots were very relaxed. Sometimes things going wrong. The plane is already repaired and ready for takeoff. _Best regards, Horst_

No.Not good memories for Germans. The US and Britain's civilian bombing strategy was a war crime. At least the Americans tried to hit factories before Dresdin. Germany is one great ally and friend now (and, ironically , Japan.)

Horst: Thank you so much for yet another wonderful video. That B-17 is very impressive, both on the ground and also in the air. The "little friends" are also excellent models. Such a shame about the Corsair. As another viewer has commented, depth perception can be very tricky, I recently destroyed a model for this very reason! Many years ago, my wife & I were very lucky to have a flight in a full-size B-17, this model brought back some great memories!! Thanks Horst, keep going with your great work!! Cheers, Dougal

Thanks _Bob_. Franz surprised me with his Razorback because he replaced the scale prop by a two bladed one. He told me that the two bladed one has a better performance. The damage of the Corsair looks much more catastrophic than it was. The fuselage was not damaged. The engine mount just breaks at the right point. The gears are o.k. and no damages at the wings. Yes. You can enter them from inside the plane. The guns point straight down and the hatch will open to the inside. When I was with the Yankee Air Force I got to fly in the Yankee lady out to Iowa and back for an air show. It was one of the most awesome things I've ever done. I also got to fly in their B-25 and C-47.

_Thank you for watching and commenting._ Well ... the reason of fast flying might be because of safety reasons. If there are engine problems, the plane has enough speed to reach the runway. _just my 2 Cents_ 😉

they're war planes, they have a very high stall speed. they don't glide well at all. this is why they say don't make a warbird your first plane.
