Day 2 of the GT Smokies is here & that means catching an early ride with Mike to Road Atlanta for what some people call fun, maybe some day I'll enjoy driving on a track. After the parade lap I got tortured by Adam in his GT3RS. Adam is truly gifted at car control & track driving, what comes to him naturally is probably something I could never learn.

Very good Matt :) You expose yourself for doing stuff that you not are comfortable with at the moment, i think it will help you gain more control over your mental health, sometimes success comes with pain :)

I once knew a guy they called "Scruffy" who was a major gt3 guy. Met him while doing training before my last deployment. This seems like an event he would be at.

I also have a question, im taking my m3 out on track this week and i have full coverage state farm. If anything happens to the car like crash or someone slamming into me will they cover?? Please answer if possible. Thanks

They will not cover it. Pretty much every policy excludes any type of sport driving. You'd need to get a separate track policy.

I don't like the adrenaline and violence of it. One mistake, and it's a very bad day when you at the limit. My friend Rich recently quit going to the track after a really bad accident totaled his GT3 and almost killed him. I just don't enjoy all of what comes with it. I've been on a track over a dozen times with various cars. I live life at an 8/10 adrenaline level. I don't need help getting any more amped up.

True^^^ So much adrenaline and ego on the track. You may be able to keep yourself in check but you can't say the same for everyone else in your run group.
