I admire how strong the Duggars have been with all the challenges they faced with Josie. Despite how hard it was for them, they just did the best they could without complaining, and I do respect that in a person ♥♥♥
it is absoulty amazing to watch joise progress through the whole year!!.. i would have never though she would have made it but thank the lord she did. i love this family their belifs and their culture.. way to go duggars x
This is incredibly funny. Even when I was a child, I was never called a spoilt brat... And maybe it's just me. I grew up being told sturdy shoes are important for growing feet. I wasn't allowed trainers/sneakers for all-day-shoes. Shoes form to your feet, you don't want growing feet to form to someone else's feet. I fully support second-hand and hand-me-down clothes, but it's a no-no for me with shoes.
You're right. The neglect those poor kids have to endure is unimaginable. Every episode is one child abuse situation after another. I'm surprised that child protective services doesn't step in and take them away from such abusive parents. But once Jim Bob's meth lab gets to be too much for Michelle's crack habit I'm sure CPS will help them get their priorities right.
the song "i've been reedeemed" was on a cassette tape we owned and that my parents would play for me when i was really little. i still have it somewhere. some of the lyrics that i know that i still like about praying for those who aren't nice to you are "you can talk about me just all you pleasex3 i'll talk about you down on my knees all my sins are washed away i've been reedeemed."
LOl..Ok I love the Duggars too, but have to admit where musical talent is concerned, the BATES family has the talent. But really, that doesn't matter as long as the heart is in the right place...and theirs sure are.

Good point regarding used shoes.....along with athletes foot, fungus, etc. it is like wearing used underwear. These things you buy new along with proper fitting footwear suitable for the activity you are doing.
They can't buy their children new shoes for their growing feet to make sure they will develop properly, but they all have violins and travel the country? Nice to know they got their priorities right.
@penny539 The Duggars don't rely on Government funds for help, they are actually dept free and pay their own bills, unlike many who don't have jobs or don't want jobs and rely on Government funding. This family means no harm to anyone they love God and each other so much and I say if they feel like they are comfortable with 20 children or more, then I say go for it! They are a great influence to all.
How do you know they didn't complain? Jim bob is the biggest whiner on the face of the earth. Thought he was going to pass out giving blood for others at Josie's hospital.
@MalibuSunrise1 It has to be hard to work with the younger children who still have a lot to learn on the violin. The older girls and John are really good when it's just them but add in the little ones on the 1/4 violin........that rasps. They're better on the piano though but then I prefer the piano anyway. :)
I'm not saying they neglect or abuse their children. Not saying that at all. But shoes are so important for growing children, it would not be something I'd skimp on. I understand that it would be a huge bill for 18+ children, but that's one of the downsides to having such a large family. I doubt they'd think of letting their children wear second hand glasses should they need them, so why second hand shoes? /rant over
I am surpised somone close to you hasn't whipped your hind end for your total disrespect you show! One day it will happen i am sure of it! Are you actually compairing second hand shoes to second pairs of glasses? Good grief! You really have some Intellect issues if you think second hand shoes is in any way even close in imagination to a used pair of glasses!
