I love watching someone drive 10/10. Dude has deep apex passing down to an art form. Extremely well set-up car as it let him pretty much get the car to do exactly what he wanted. Well done !
@@davidburne9477but it didn't prevent that blue car to bump to his rear in the the first corner as soon as he overtook him at 05:22 Was the blue car's driver fustrated? 😅
Hell yea. I watched MX5 cup at Daytona this year and fell in love. For a field that large the level of driving nearly across the board is insane. I’d expect the people spinning each other out driving bumper to bumper but everyone seems respectful and highly skilled.
@@__fuif you want super intense races at comfortable speeds for the normal person the mx5 is a great platform! Sure from the sidelines it looks slow but in the cockpit it’s a blast
I watch a lot of F1 mostly because of the FSP that it’s easy to access, and there are a lot of people to talk to about it, but I find this way more entertaining.
Amazing Driving skill was amazing to watch plus the excitement from these little cars being so close so often is incredible. Bump drafting never ceases to amaze me either. 😅
Thanks for uploading. Love it. What a drive. Shame about the red flag. Could of got higher. Some great over takes. Shame about the ride hight issue starting you from the back. Made for some great overtakes though. Keep uploading when you can.
Why were you waiving at other drivers(or shaking your fist)? Looked like the one driver inadvertently turned on the hazards? You are a master of the inside pass. Some cars had more straight line speed but you out brakes them and claimed the line through the curve. This racing is not for the faint of heart! I have driven my lightly prepared ND2 many times at MidOhio and this was unbelievable!
I run in SM, the child version of this class. You'll get a bump draft from the person behind you if A) they know you're faster, and after the next corner they won't see you again, so why fight and lose time? I rather push you, pick up a few tenths that lap, and keep racing. He won't slow me down the next corner so I'll do it. Or B) the front pack is bump drafting so if I don't use a bump draft buddy, I'll never catch the lead group. It's also pretty fun to get a bump draft... In the heat of the moment, by throwing your hand up asking for one, you can definitely trick someone into bumping you who was previously planning to go for a pass. It also tells them you're down to work together.
@@dcmoreno12 Thank you very much for this insight! I saw bump drafts in some sim racing streams and got myself my first two one a couple of days ago in a racing sim on track in Monza (RaceRoome). But I always thought this is a "sim racing only thing", way beyond real racing. Seems I watched for too long the wrong real racing footages ;-)
