I've had Sam make a Colt 45 holster and belt for my father about 20 yrs ago. It's one of his priced possesions. It will be mine after he passes, then my son's after I pass. Thank you Sam. You're a craftsman, and your excellence is admired greatly.
...I used'ta see Sam at all the shows here in So FL...even bought a cowboy rig from him in the mid-90s...which I lost after my stroke in 2002...he's a good dude...
Hey Sam, I am looking to move into making some exotic skin holsters. Can you do a video on working with those skins making holsters and the places you purchase these skins. There really is not much in the way of exotic skin holster making available on RU-vid. I usually learn by spending a lot of time in the school of hard knocks but mostly considering the cost I would really prefer not having to go through that school this time if I could find a better way. I have a particular need to fulfill soon to work with alligator if you have any tips? I have been a fan of your videos for years. It is really great to see someone lend a helping hand these days to teach others. You sure have helped me....Thank you!
The alligator works just like cowhide as far as cutting and assembling the holster. One of the best sources is Henry at the Ostrichmarket.com. Tell him I sent you.
The products and videos you do are amazing. I thank you for inspiring me to give it a try. I do have a question as to what size are those centering dowls? Thank you so much. And best regards
