I've been working with laser cutting my leather, I'll have to try wetting the leather. I've started using an air assist on my diode laser and find that it cuts much easier and cleaner, I believe it's because the smoke is blown away and doesn't refract the laser. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.

I'd rid the majority collection of my 1911 holsters for this one. Excellent art work with no short cuts. Worth every penny spent on it for the buyer.👍

Where did you get the templates to this style of holster?? Where might I order it ? I've always created my own patterns in leather craft and been doing the craft for 50+ years...

The problem would be the steel parts on the gun would become magnatized picking up tiny bits of steel particles (whiskers) which could affect the guns action.

I am new to this but I am so impressed with the work that you do. I come from a very high end remodeling contractor background so I respect and appreciate high end quality. Your stuff is pure art. I'm 70 years old and just starting to learn this craft, mostly because I'm left handed and my holster choices are slim add to that I don't like boring. I love the white wedding combo. I'm in Texas, you're in Texas ( I'm not stalking) but if I knew where you were I would follow you home just to learn from you. Your work is so far above anything else I have seen to try to learn from on RU-vid. Please do more. I'm not sucking up but your stuff is so inspiring. I love the vinegar and steel wool thing, who knew?

I have been watching you at work for some time and am very impressed with methods and finishing. I was wondering if you make these holsters for people on order or is it just a hobby. When working I use to build custom cabinetry for a lot of the pro athletes in the Orlando area so I know a little about quality. Another great looking holster! I was expecting the magnet to be in the strap, but the toe plug was a cool idea. What effect does dampening the leather prior to laser cutting have?

Beautiful work, and a gorgeous holster! I do think the snap is in a bad place, though. It could possibly click the safety off after a day's worth of movement, and scratches it up. You might want to adjust your design to relocate it up next to the slide, and line the strap to cover the snap head. Just a suggestion from my experience in holstermaking.

Lovely work, but the exposed metal fastening inside the holster, right next to the weapon, has got to be a recipe for scratching it…?

The one thing that I was disappointed in in watching you make this visually very pretty holster is that you did not suede line it, which not only enhances the grip that the holster imparts on the gun, BUT is so much more ' tender ' on the gun's finish.............

45's are hand canons. For me the recoil is too much. A 9mm shoots faster and is more controllable. Each to their own.
