This is a video that shows my restored 1912 Wehrle Baseburner Coal Stove in action. I know the video is dark, it's supposed to be. Stoves like this are best at night.
My eyes were glued to your video. I can still remember these types of stove being used in older peoples farm homes. Too many beautiful stoves like this were just broken and taken in for scrap metal. Great job restoring such a unique coal burner. Hope I can find a stove like yours...
Not only was the stove a great story, the story about the costumers being able to experience the wonderful heat it puts off. Have a merry Christmas and may the stove keep you warm during the cold months.
Such a classy stove. You did a fantastic job refurbishing it, and a very nice job explaining its feature. It looks like a double heater too, no? I can't believe it's a base burner to boot. What a great piece of history. Congratulations. Did you ever move it into your house?
I love the beauty and craftsmanship my grandfather and his forebears brought to this country to bad we have to give our money to foreign countries for they're junk crap
Sure did... have you heard or seen a Princess banning number 16 parlor stove. I have C Emrich Number 77. Would like to know where I could find a book on my parlor stove for Parts or the factory look. Now that princess burning stove I found persons asking for was asking 500 I got them to 350 it needs work missing parts is it. Thank you
Isn't that nice? I have an old Wehrle stove but it was/is used for wood. I am wondering about repairs to the burn chamber. I think i should see if I can fix it up and came across your video.
Try to save it if you can! There are guys on the forum that can help you with the repairs or even casting new pieces for your stove. Go to the link I provided mrshugspa above to get some help.
