Thank you for inspiration to build my own board track racer. I am using a 100cc two stroke engine, otherwise it will be very similar to yours. I have a small shop that build and sell motorized bicycles out of, but this will be the first board track racer.
I’m glad to hear that you’re inspired by some of my work. I’d love to see what you end up building. Feel free to message me on Facebook under EDG Classics anytime. Good luck!
I think it looks great. My only comment would be you might want to replace all the phillips head screws for slotted ... an easy fix and makes the impression better.
Funny that you mention that. I did change them on my personal bikes. Most people have no idea that the Phillip screw didn’t come out until the early 1930s.
Do you have a link to the free wheels you use for the drive systems? I know you said they came off an E-bike but is there a part number written on them?
Hi, love your bikes, am building one myself. Just hard getting any parts in UK. Can’t find. Carb adapter for my Honda CG 190 do you know a supplier who might have one . Many thanks. Steve.
I buy the frames. I’ve found that the frames made for motors are a little heavier and therefore a bit stronger. I’ve bought mine from Harken and Gas Classics.
Thanks! Actually, these are cruiser handlebars flipped upside down. I made the ones on my other bikes but these were factory made. If you can’t find any, let me know. I should have an extra set or two. Message me on Facebook at EDG Classics. Thanks!
@@chassou2613 I’m glad I could help. If you have any questions, you can message me anytime. Message me on FB messenger and I can respond quicker. Thanks and good luck!
@@jameskogler1504 it’s a personal preference thing. I usually like the patina look so I don’t mind a few scratches. Power coating would definitely be a stronger finish.
@@EDGClassics yeah you're right I love the patina look myself. But if I ever go to sell this bike I may have to repaint it again before I sell it? However I do love what you do with your bikes, the way you do the patina look is amazing because it looks like it just came from that time. All original paint. Now would a customer buy it like that? That's the question? How in liking is this kind of paint work? You know what I'm saying?
@@jameskogler1504 I’ve had a number of people want the patina look. I’m not selling them as originals but they look the part and to someone that is not familiar with the bikes, why crush the dream. Haha I probably have sold just as many patina bikes as I have clean and pretty bikes.
