So glad that since this documentary was filmed, the men labeled as 'cowards' have actually been pardoned. People should never have been forced to go through such atrocities.

In some parts of England, the inhabitants could hear the sounds of battle. The heavy shelling, almost like thunder in the distance, was very distinct, and unnerving. With the English Channel being a mere 20 miles distant from the shores of France (in some locations). The sounds of battle could be heard very distinctly at all hours of the day and night. For those inhabitants that had sons, husband's, and in some cases daughters, this must have been quite unnerving and torturous.

Hearing from family members and the grandchildren of those who fought for the British forces gives us a idea how conditions on the front were during the last days of the war.

Most soldiers were shell shocked or very shaken by the events of the war.

Soliders who were found guilty of military crimes were executed by firing squad..these soldiers who were executed should be pardoned for their crimes.

Wow...all the old enemies are now good buddies, and all the old friends are enemies! Well I guess enemies are always needed to keep the economy and culling viable. One wishes that someone would have the balls to take the planet once and for good, that should stop trade wars.

The overwhelming smell of dead bodies, rotting in the trenches and the smell from the latrines, massive amounts of excrement.
