That is the best example of a cycle car I have ever seen. It is very fast for such a small motor.

This the nicest machine I've seen and the most inspirational because everyone here with a garden shed and grandads old foldy outy toolbox he made as an apprentice thinks they can build something like it and they could. It's awesome. Its pretty and petite and sounds gorgeous and it ticks all the boxes.

I don’t know which is more interesting, the car or the fact that you can legally drive it on public roads. Great work!

Back in 1974 my dad built for me his interpretation of a cycle car using a Briggs and Stratton 5hp engine. What you have here reminds me of that. The steering was the same and at speeds over 5MPH it was not, shall we say, responsive? It was scary as hell for an 11 year old to drive. The chain drive fell off under load a couple of times. Fortunately it was not exposed so no one was injured, just really frustrated. A great memory. Thank you!

A very interesting piece of kit. I always love finding the odd bits and bob's on RU-vid time to time. I can see these making a comeback sometime.

I built a version of this as an 11 year old (with my tool and diemaker fathers help) Mine was a 1980s version, although the engine/clutch was from a 1973 Polaris Colt 175cc snowmobile mated to a 3 speed with reverse transmission from a 1970s riding lawnmower.

What an outstanding build you did there. Couple of things that kinda scared me: the chain running along the floorboards by your feet and legs and the spool and wire steering BUT I figure it was the way it was done "back in the day"

I'd be looking for a set of 1930's 28" x 2" balloon rims and tires for the cycle car. .In the 60's I was messing with bikes and those things were still about. The ride was brilliant.

A guy in California built a four seat four wheel little car out of bicycle frames and parts. Added a steering wheel and it was pedal powered. The two in the front pedaled it

I know this car was not designed with safety as a top objective, but... if that steering bobbin encounters a SMALL BUMP, the steering shaft is going right through the driver's heart (after their ribs snap the steering wheel's spokes). Or maybe that _is_ a safety feature: you'd be better off dead than survive any kind of crash in this vehicle.
