I have A 1920 Geisler Slingerland 4 X 14 snare drum like the one in Your video !! All Aluminum with banjo wires on the bottom head Mr Howard Slingerland owned a banjo company that's the reason it had banjo strings not snap strings . They were not invented until later . The snare drum is always tune at a high pitch because it's made out aluminum . Have fun playing the snare drum !! 😊😊😊

Wow you certainly find the snare drum jems! Thanks for the video I've only seen pictures of this snare. I really like the shallow depth bass drum surprisingly you still get low tone in diameter without depth as modern shells promote.🤯
Two very cool snare drums! The Premiere 2000 strainer definitely as issues, but when it works it is a great snare system. I like you prefer a modern snare drum! Great video Shawn!

Thanks Brody! I really appreciate that! Mainly one significant upgrade the others will just being set up more geared drum work than motorcycles and hot rods. You get far less dirty working on drums lol
I like the bass drum! I have a Premier 2000 COA with that strainer that has a couple broken wires. Been trying to find a replacement set too. Joined your FB page.
Tama had made that type of mic boom arm as part of their 'Multiclamp' system, too. I remember seeing it in their brochures I was drooling over in the 80's 😄 I'm not sure if they still make it today, though. And it blows my mind that this ancient snare drum still has ancient literal skins on it, too! 🤯😊

@@mightyV444 I think you are correct sir, I just googled it and they look like it, at least one I've seen so far. Thanks! I'm thinking these are very early 80's maybe 70's though judging by the tilter. Im not totally up on their hardware and I had too haha not a lot of banjo players in these parts so that's all I think of when I see one haha you to man!
