Video Restoration Process:
✔ FPS boosted to 60 frames per second
✔ Image resolution boosted up to HD
✔ Improved video sharpness and brightness
✔ Colorized only for the ambiance (not historically accurate)
✔added sound design only for the ambiance
✔restoration:(stabilisation,denoise,cleand,deblur)
✔ Face Restoration
Please, be aware that colorization colors are not real and fake, colorization was made only for the ambiance and do not represent real historical data.

It's actually quite a bit more gnarly than that! Those spans of 102 years saw vastly different levels of progression. We, in 2022, are seeing into an era which is FAR more different from ours than what the 1920 people would see if they could watch videos from 1818. It's wild to think about...

1:52 It's very interesting to see the design philosophy behind these old concepts. You can tell we didn't just go from horse and carriage to a modern vehicle. You can tell there was still this idea of a luxury in transportation just by looking at the back passenger seats, very reminiscent of horse and carriage, from the upholstery to the relatively lifted seating position compared to the driver. It's almost as if though the horse was replaced with a steel contraption but the carriage remained all the same.

Yo you are doing amazing work. Literally as close to a time machine as I can get get. I put on my Oculus and fired up the RU-vidVR app. Its stunning to feel like you're in a different time and not just a different place. A Quantum like experience if there ever were one. Thank you so much. I'm a New Yorker. So I've walked the streets you've restored film of. I am even familiar with some of the buildings captured in the footage that still stand to this day.

Cars were a lot bigger than people realize, especially full size cars. Some had wheels the size of semi trucks wheels. Proportions were derived from existing carriages for a long while. People love to crack jokes about the size of American cars in general because it's a trend to bash everything about America, but every other country was influenced heavily by American auto industry and size of vehicles was no exception. Early cars were larger and taller than the majority of those today plain and simple. Some were even heavier.

Sure it isn’t THAT different, compared to Ancient Rome or something similar. But it’s all about those fine quirks and details that are fascinating. What did people think about ? What were their fears, what made them laugh ? What did people do in their everyday life ? Look at the designs, almost every decade has its own clothing, and decorative style. What were the new trends at that time ? The latest inventions ? Languages have evolved so much in 100 years. In my case I speak French. It’s still the same language today, but older and forgotten words were used, and for another example, the older intonations. It’s all about the fine details.
