1929 Ford Roadster Pickup Gets A Chopped Windshield and A NEW Bed!!!!

When we purchased the 1929 Ford Roadster Pickup it was missing a windshield and stanchions. We were able to find a gentleman on the HAMB that makes 2" chopped stanchions and a fan brought a windshield to the National Model A meet in Morgantown, PA. The stanchions need to have the holes drilled, and the windshield needs to be chopped 2" to fit. Matt also picked up a new bed for the RPU on the way to Michigan for the 1970 Chevelle parts we recently purchased. The new windshield, and bed really changed the look of the truck and we may be able to take it for a spin soon!!!

Get a set of transfer screws. You thread them into a hole and hit the piece you need to match to get the location transferred. The opposite, of course, are transfer punches.

I love those BopTops from Sid Chavers company, they look awesome on Model A roadsters, they have all their own stainless bows and everything so you're not messing around with 80 year old bent and corroded metal and finding pieces missing etc ..

The truck is looking cool. Especially with Moon in the back. I don't know about the laws in Pennsylvania but in Oregon you just have to have your dog on a leash or chain so that they can't out of the truck bed. I just attached a short piece of chain to the center top of my bed, attached a swivel to the other end, and clipped on own my dogs collar. She can wander around a little but she can't get out whether on purpose or accidentally.
