Owen Nacker was originally a Marmon engineer, but defected to Cadillac. Rumor has it something was slid under the table to make him work for Cadillac. So that means that all three v16 production engines were engineered by the same man (2 for Cadillac and 1 for Marmon).

would LOVE to own one of these! if i had one i would push the car to its maximum limit and see just how fast these things really go.

@@phantomcorsair8476 thank you for that information! Basically i thought a V16 could handle higher speeds like 75mph a lot better than a V8. What i know is, that the sweet spot of an V8 equipped cadillac would be around 50 mph. You could drive that all day long. That being said, a well taken care of V8 car could also reach a top speed around 100 mph because these cars have been designed for sustained high speeds.. but after that trip you'll probably have to rebuild that engine (oil change, bearings, ..).

Seems to me that the Packard twin 6s were quieter. But their transmissions whined, too, as did Duesenberg's.
