I’m so glad you always show how the *thing* works at the end. You always find such unusual items to restore. I’m never quite sure what they’re supposed to do! Great stuff... thanks for sharing!
Honestly I'm pretty sure that I and most other people would see this thing and think it was well beyond repair, so great job making it look so brand new again. Super impressive.
Up until the end I thought it was missing a saw blade, once you had it together and flexed the cutting edge that I realized it was a cutter not a long handled saw. Nicely done, sir.
Silky Steve And you know that they are genuinely old unlike some “restorers” that bury their junk in a swamp or under a compost pile for a couple of weeks.
I really really enjoy you video's so much. Ik watch some every night. Them calm me down and relax me. I loe seeing you restore these things. IT means a lot tot me. Keep on going and a massive thanks
Very cool! They do make these newer at the hardware store but this is something else. Older things have a certain charm and you brought this back to life and use.
now all made in PRC RPC China etc ! In France we say "Merde In China" : means "shit in China", we also say " achètes chinois achètes 10 fois" means buy chinese buy 10 times !!
Just a pro paintjob tip: If you want a glowing yellow/orange/red/green. Paint the parts white first. Wet sand it and paint the desired colour over it. Your piece will be much brighter✌🏼. Keep it up👍🏻
I love these simple restorations 🙂 You are making a very good job with the restorations and the editing. The combinations of these two factors is what it takes to run a quality channel! Hope you doing well / Philip
I so Love it when you come across the Clasic tools or What ever to Restore. I always enjoy watching your restore. Thanks ever so much for sharing. Stay safe.
I have watched every video. I too take great satisfaction in restoring old things. I work with old automobiles though. It is very relaxing to follow you through each restoration. I also love old things from decades gone by and believe that the workmanship of such items is far superior to todays substandard manufacturing. Master craftsmen of the past deserve to have their creations given a second lease on life!
Another wonderful restoration ! Approved by Avril. I bought one very similar to this, new old stock British Army issue, still wrapped in grease paper, but when I tried to use it I understood why it was left in stock, it was so heavy . Stay safe! Chris B.
Best enjoyed, at your leisure, feet up, a cup of tea and a biscuit or pastry of your choice. The simple tool sounds coupled with the sounds of nature are just so tranquil!
Good day man you have golden hands and creature spirit the interesting thing that you know how things works, it's more important than rebuild the object many persons are hand crafted but you are creature god bless you
To think, most would have just thrown a lump of rust like that into the scrap pile. Did a beautiful job of restoration on such a mundane tool! Congratulations on a job well done sir!!
