Hi Mike, I have enjoyed this journey with you. You are doing something that I haven’t contemplated. At almost 70 I don’t think that I will do this. Regarding your price, I think it’s worth it given the hours that you put in. It’s like a dining table and chairs that I made, I won’t sell them because people won’t want to pay the price for my efforts and their uniqueness. I think hot rods are the same, each is unique and what you have done is left the canvas basically blank for the next person to make their own. I also like that you did this with basic tools to show that if anyone puts their mind to it and seeks the resources to follow they could do this. Thanks again from Townsville Australia.
Thank you so much. I’m glad you appreciate the build and my thoughts as to passing it onto the next owner to finish. I think it’s a great start for someone who wants to get into the hobby for a little effort to finish the car.
Car turned out great, nice starter. Fingers crossed you'll get the perfect dad and son maybe even a kid who's been watching the build and saving money, you never know..I enjoyed the videos and also learned some tricks.
Hey Mike, That neat hotrod sure is worth the amount that you will are asking. As you pointed out it has lots more content with far more detail than I expected. Plus an added value of having Videos available world wide of the build to look back on any time. I have certainly enjoyed every minute of watching the build. Probably because it brought back so many fun memories of building my AV8 roadster. I enjoyed the build, driving it as a daily and also cruises and car shows! Somebody will be enjoying that rod just like that! Really great for a beginner or an old timer like me with not so much time! :) Many thanks and all the best to you and Allie!..... Oh, I am also really looking forward to the video of the next Pine Tree Jamboree coming up!......
Thanks Jon, I thinks it’s a pretty neat little car. I’ve enjoyed the build. I’m glad you enjoyed the build and the videos as the car progressed. North East Vintage Drags is fast approaching b. Memorial Day weekend. I’ll have live videoed throughout the event and produced videos following. I can’t wait ! We’ve been busy !
Thank a million Mike, I've had fun and enjoyed the ride. Learned a ton about how things go. Seeing is believing. You can read books and articles but this is way better for me. Also paid a lot of attention to the tools that you used and have purchased them as the videos evolved. Thanks for leaving the mistakes in and not leaving them on the cutting room floor. Also kudos on the effort it takes to put these shorts together. At times you spent as much time editing as you did working. But you made a commitment to your tribe and myself and many others appreciate it. Long live hot rodding!
Thank you David. Means a lot. I’m glad you and others not only have enjoyed the videos, you’ve taken something from them. That’s by far the most rewarding part of it all. Thank you again. Mike
You have made a class looking car. Any man that looks back at your videos they can see how much work you have put into the car. I have really enjoyed the journey you shared with us though the build. Can't wait to see your next project. Thanks again for sharing it with us.
Well done, someone is going to get a good deal. Maybe they'll even continue the build on their own channel. Looking forward to future videos, thanks for this build, it was fun and informative to follow along on.
Nice job Mike, look's good and in a great spot for the next guy to finish it off and get driving it ! The price you are looking for is more than fair and if I was closer and not in an other country I would be coming to see it ! Have a great day John .
Hello Mike .. Enjoy your channel.. It has been over 4 months since you posted anything.Hope your channel is still active.. Relize that the Day Job and life in general cann take up your time.. Will keep eye out for new content
I believe It’s been a few months yes. I typically take most of the summer off because of my work (day job) and also I typically spend more time vacationing with Alli and my kids. I’m working on getting back into the garage and looking forward on getting back to work on the 34 coupe as well as a few other project. Stay tuned 👍🏼
Really pleased you didn’t skip any of the process Mike. I have forwarded ever one to my grandson Liam. And he has enjoyed them as much as I have. Good luck with the sale. Take care and all the very best to you and your family. Ps some driving road trip film of the coup would be good. Cheers.
I've watched every part of this build and I thank you so much. I think you could/should raise your price; but honestly don't know what these go for in your area. I learned a lot of how to". I picked up a '30 thats complete minus a lot of glass, but it came with the two fenders, extra windshield frame and extra set of rims that i think are a little wider with heavier spokes. I'm sure the motor is stuck; last plated in '53..., but i'll un-stuck it and decide where to go from there with the drive train. Anyway, thank you and Listen to Sally brother! Have fun ;)
Awesome job, Mike. This will sell fast. I would put a "firm" price on it because of the care you took to make it a true 50's classic rod with all the HARD work done.
Great job again Mike, super great price range, for someone too finish up in a couple w.ends..like u said great dad an son project, again tks for taking us along..
I have been following along for a while the sedan came out looking very good. I appreciate the workmanship and time spent making it a Hot Rod. I think the price will be reasonable for most drivers and the work has been documented so there are a lot of questions answered. It also gives me some ideas about where my 28 coupe should be on price.
With all the work you have put into that car, I would say that someone is getting a good deal at $11,500. Some people out here in California want that much or more for an original not running Model A. Lefty
I appreciate that. I’ve been in the shop adding all the small bits and pieces. Excited to roll it out this weekend and get a good walk wound look at it. I’ll bring you guys along !
That's awesome. What are you trying to get for it. Great job. Just curious. Once I finish my Ol'"Beater 54. Then I could buy something like that. Good job
I’m pretty sure I said it in the video. Listing it locally for 11.500. Like to get 10-11. I think that’s a fair price. Leaves the person room for equity once it’s finished to their liking
You know ---- it's like anything we do ---- we have hours spent on it -- or -- with it ----- It is always hard to let it go ---- You were tromping at the bit ---- looking over at your next build --- wanting to get started ---- but you know --- your '31 will be a Good start for someone --- who maybe -- is not as talented as you in building a car ---- So --- with this car nearly finished on your end ---should feel good about it ----- Good Job ----------- Rodney
Thanks Rodney. I feel really good about this little car. It really came together nicely. I know whoever buys it will be happy. That’s why I kept going and going. Thank you for the support and the kind words. On to the next - real soon
Hahaha. Gas tanks and fuel filters are all plastic on all modern cars… but the plastic fuel filter on this one is stupid. Another good one. Please keep these great insights coming … you make the world a much better place.
@@ThisOldHotrod Obviously, you've never had an engine fire because the plastic fuel filter cracked and caused a fire. Modern vehicles don't have plastic fuel filters exposed on the top of the engines. FYI, I'm a 50+ years master level factory certified auto/truck tech. Guaranteed that I've worked on, and restored, more classic/vintage vehicles than you. I also own an original all-steel '31 Model A 2 dr sedan that is powered by a Ford 351w engine. Far less grief than a Chevturd engine. Enjoy your delusions, PUTZ.
@@ThisOldHotrod I've done several and I own a few. All Fords with Ford power. SBF is smaller dimensions than a SBC plus distributor is in the front of the engine.
