Been 24 years since my dad passed, but during the day that don't go by that I don't remember him playing with his old hot rod 1930 ford pickup truck he built up during the 1950s when he was in his twenties and fresh out of the Navy on 56th and I'm a lucky man to have that time capsule right down to the old flat head the three-speed transmission all the original stainless steel and chrome pieces in a faded mint green paint job to the White tuck and roll interior she still runs strong and still plays
Sooo jealous of your shop! 😊mine is all small and cramped wish I could smoothly glide along on a litte stool 😂 I get the good old cardboard box on the ground treatment

My daughters and I drove up to Oxford in the mid 90's. We were the only spectators, there were about 10 race cars and the grass was not cut. I am so glad that it has been improved and is holding such great events.
Mike, you do not need to explain what's going on in your personal life. We appreciate it, but it's not necessary. Family comes first. We are just viewers. We don't deserve any details. That's for you close friends and family. I'm not trying to come across as being rude or ignorant towards you. I'm just trying to show some respect for you and your family. You still have a couple of the coolest cars in my books Mike. I remember months back you made mention that the model A might be going up for sale. Is that still a thought ? I am very interested in it.
I appreciate it. I wrestled with letting people know. Daily messages and not being certain how to respond, I figured it was okay to let people know. It is my personal life, but I’ve chosen to make myself transparent to a point with the RU-vid channel. I do appreciate the kind words and understanding. The coupe is currently on Bring A Trailer. The listing ends on Saturday afternoon. Here’s the listing. bringatrailer.com/listing/1930-ford-model-a-hot-rod/
Mike I’ve said it before that car is so cool I’m surprised you can sit in it with shorts on. I feel your pain. I lost my farther ten years ago. And my mum went down hill straight away. I looked after her for two years till she past. What ever your mum may say don’t take it to hart. It’s the most terrible condition. God bless you and your family and mum. By the way I booked off eleven days off work plus a bank holiday and weekends gave me a total of sixteen days. I didn’t come to the drags I went to a sixtieth birthday of a good friend the first Friday. A funeral of a very close friend the following Friday. And a car meet the following Thursday. Life’s tuff. Take care best wishes Tim.
Mike - you’re looking healthy and strong - keep taking care of yourself and the rest will be much easier. Your Mom may not be able to always express her deep appreciation of you and your siblings, but be assured she does. You’re a great man. All the best to you 👍😎👍
Thanks for walking us around the 34. There were lots of things I had never noticed before. We've all had some scuffs in life. Make sure you're having fun doing these.
Do what you can taking care of your mother. I’ve been in the same position for several years. While utube is fun to watch, your time with family is more important.

As we get older, we take on the responsibility of taking care of others. They did it for us, and in turn, we become the caregivers. Life comes full circle! Alzheimer's disease is a difficult thing to experience as we watch our loved ones slowly take the long goodbye train. It takes so much to have the patience, love and compassion to do this....and I respect that you and your siblings are doing this for your Mother. God bless your Mother and your family.
Mike. You have some beautiful cars. Thank you for all the great how to videos. They were informative and entertaining. The best part is that you are a regular guy with some fabrication skills and have inspired many of us to work on projects. Your family is in my thoughts and I am sure you treasure the time you have with them. All the Best. Tony
