The car's Owner is Dave Underwood. Dave’s has this car since 2012. He shares he saw this car on the internet and fell in love with the look of it.

I just knew that straight 8 was gonna be gone…. And I was right! Excellent small block dressing for this car. Sounds great too. He should always be proud of that, what a neat build.

I’m in love. The 30s Art Deco look really appeals to me as a fan of the 60s and 90s Batman series. Sad that Pontiac is no more but such a nice looking example of their style. Glad someone’s keeping it going. I figured by your excitement going towards the rear it had a rumble seat.

Beautiful lines / proportions. I dig the trick window ‘cranks’ too. The only change I would do is ditch the orange running lights up front - they don’t let that cool shovel nose grille show itself off! Beautiful car!!!

I'd prefer to have a car like this than anything brand new. An inline 6 cylinder would be my choice - I'd use it as a daily driver. Nice car! 😁👍

I have been to a number of car shows and I have never seen one of these anywhere. This is a car you can drive everyday and in twenty years you will still have the coolest car where ever you go.

After 20 years it's value will likely be more than what you paid for it ....while a new car bought after 20 yrs will probably have been gone to junkyard and scrapped/ crushed. 😁👍

Wow that's a super cool early Pontiac. Hardly ever see these cars. I'd leave it all stock looking externally but I'd drop in a hot rodded Pontiac 400 and a 4 speed . But I absolutely would not do any modifications to this car that I was unable to undo if I ever wanted to restore it to fully stock form or sell it

Car is gorgeous. My wife and I owned three Pontiac Bonnevilles they were wonderful cars to drive. That 3800 V6 was a very underrated mill.

As you said Lou Dave has the best of both worlds in his Pontiac, the classic and elegant styling from Pontiac combined with the modern conveniences of an '86 Corvette engine, air conditioning, power windows, an alternator and no doubt other items not mentioned. What a gorgeous color combination. It just draws one's attention. Who knew GM was still doing cast brass grills in 1933? I thought that went out with the brass era. It adds that much more to the car's appeal.

A first year 1955 287" Pontiac V-8 would have been nice; had a 1955 Catalina SC HT and the V-8 was flawless.

thanks Lou (and Dave.) what a car. rumble seat. powered windows with crank controls. love to see this car with a period correct straight eight, though. maintenance for the original engine would get annoying over the years, and couldn't really be relied upon as an actual daily driver, but would show the evolution of the automobile.

Too bad you didn't go into a bit more detail on what he did to mod it. He did a good job hiding most of them. I've never seen window cranks converted to electric window switches before. Cool! I would have preferred to see a Pontiac engine under the hood. Oh well, at least it's GM.

these window crank shifter had boyd coddington back in the program ! I also believe that Lokar shifter sells these window cranks ! is not new !

Flat head inline 6 or 8, I think. Both were available until 54, when they were 239 and 268.4, respectively, but they had grown some over the years, and I don't know when they began.

It could have been either flat head striaght 6 or flat head straight 8 as 1932 was the last year for the Oakland Pontiac V8, which btw was the first Hydrulic roller V8 engine. Typical gm, if Pontiac had something better than pos chevy, they killed it. I guess that's why I dispise seeing over rated Chevy engines in a Pontiac. This car is extremely nice, beautiful job on it, but yes, I would have kept it Pontiac under the hood.

Beautiful piece! But if I did all that work, I would've stayed with Pontiac power plant. Of coarse I'm a Pontiac Nut. Seeing a chevy in a Pontiac or in a Ford is equivalent to marrying a prostitute lol, Ewww!
