Hey Jonathan I enjoy watching you get engine started that have been sitting for years then you ever get the white 4 door chrsyler to turn over and the ford Granada running thanks and keep up the great work you do
love them shoe box fords!!! I had a 51 me and my dad worked on. But had to sale it to pay rent and dad passed almost two years ago.. Hope to find another one to build someday..
When I was 18 I bought a 41 Buick sedan, with the straight eight...for 1600 dollars. Interior was original and nice!. Body was painted and solid...engine was worn out ! lol. It smoked all the way to work up route 93 and back again.lol. I got her up to 85 one day and couldn't see the cars behind me !..lol. I took it off the road. and GAVE it to a junk yard ! Stupid ! I've owned and registered over 50 cars in my life . I would get bored within a few months and buy something else...I should have kept them. Matt.
You sound a lot like me. I always had to see what they'd do top end with no regards of the dangers. I bought a 1938 Buick Special black 4 dr sedan. My friends called it my Al Capone car. I remember selling it for $10. and it ran like a top
Hi J.W. ! EVERY one you save gets you 2 points closer to heaven...by now your close to Sainthood! The Buick, kicking and screaming every inch of the way..."Please let me die peacefully" but 'ol J.W. says, "Not on my watch, Jack !" ✌😳
my Dad had a '37 buick back in 1946 That '39 looks like it has been sitting out there since '46 with the amount of rust damage that one has. But hey you got it out before it completely rusted into the ground. Looks like the straight eight if you can get itvto run would be worth your time and trouble.
Good Job. It is fun to think of the people that would have been the passengers in this neat old car. The front is so ugly that it is pretty to look at. straight eight....yea
Couple of interesting cars there for sure ...do I remember a Buick like that in one of the Godfather movies ? - a series 90 limo I think , with big white sidewalls...a great Gangster Car .
That is a Roadmaster, model 81-F. The F stands for formal, formal sedans had the roll up window between the front & back seat. Those portholes on the hood must have been a previous owner's custom touch, they didn't have them factory until 1949.
I like how you chain the frame to the deck, then roll the deck in to move the car. I was never taught that (Of course) lol I will have try that one day.
pure gangsta car my mind is running around and wondering was there any mafia personal in that car :) i played mafia on the ps3 i drove one of these in the game
It saddens me deeply to see cars like these in such wet and rough environments, that tear down vehicles so quickly, and leave them in a state of rust and decay, and in my opinion there is a special place in hell for people who leave these cars like this one in such places, unless it’s out of there control
My mechanic collects Metros. There was one locally that he tried to buy 20 years ago. The owner wouldn't sell, and and it's still sitting in the same spot with a tree growing up through it. His junk yard currently has a '54 Ford awaiting the crusher. He tried to buy it years ago, then a tree fell on it and caved in the top.
Dang it Jonathan you should of done a first start and threw an axel on it and drive it home :) that is such a nice care I can just see it new and a straight 8?? I guess I missed that engine that’s super cool
Yes, it is somewhat like waking up the dead, but it could be a new life, at least maybe as a rat rod or parts for another! I would think he could sell the parts left over to others that may be working oin another like it!
the shoebox is a 49. In 50 they put the gas fill behind an access door, also the door handles are different in 50 they have a button 49 you pull the habdle
This looks like it is beyond saving, even for you! So I see you got a motorized wench now, instead of hand cranking for a hour now! Maybe the truck lid is around somewhere! The old Ford looks like it might be a good prospect!
could bring the rear bucket forward, make a coupe rag'''..........just turned a 29 murray modle a 4 door into a truck/////gets all the looks.....anythings possible with REAL STEEL
Ok my cousin had and may still have the Marin Brando's limo from the godfather movie the one where Marlon Brando fell over when they shot him. Everytime I se a old Buick limo or a old pretty much anything I think of Stan . I spoke to him a few years ago when I came across a ford model t speedster with a impressive history . It had won a race to the American expo (the first world's fair I Seattle not the 1962) that race put Ford on the map. It was $18,000. My cousin was getting older and sold most of his collection topay for his 2 daughters weddings and I guess he bought them houses . He was up to over 300 cars at the time including a 36 Auburn cord boat tail speedster that won the grand Nationals 5 time he covered it and put it in a warehouse he had in 1978 and forgot about it until he was asked to put it Ina parade it hadn't been uncovered in almost 35 years neither of his kids were born the last time it was out. Must be nice...
To restore this car would take a lot of money who knows there are parts available or aftermarket if you do it for pleasure fine but for return of investment I think is a long shot!
I've watched a lot of your videos where you go and pick up cars, what do you do with them? What did you do with this one? What state are you located in, I'd like to try and get one of those, maybe even that one, or even the T-bucket roadster pick up that you got the other day, how about it? Hey, I'd even like to buy just the body parts and frame, and you could keep all the running gear, good deal huh??
LOL--A brit no doubt titled this video, hence the 'limo' moniker. It's not a limousine, but just a Buicke regular sedan. All 4drs. to foreigners are "limos".
I watched this and then saw the date. I was going to tell you I like the other intro music better! An STOP with the rat rod crap! NOBODY likes that stuff any more! Sure there's lots of shows with rats but its going out of style and cool!
