This video features a restored 1939 Rock-ola Luxury Lightup Jukebox, and provides an up-close look, inside and out, of this classic vintage machine. Rock-ola was famous for their simple-but-effective engineering, often using far fewer parts than other manufacturers (i.e. Wurlitzer) to perform the same function. As a result, Rock-ola jukeboxes are quite reliable, but never received the same attention (or valuation) as the more stylishly designed Wurlitzers. This tour is accompanied by several great, old tunes and will give you a good idea of the design and function of a classic, vintage 1939 Rock-ola jukebox.
