My son is special needs and he really likes classic trucks 🚚🛻 like that one he says: "They don't make them like that anymore!" But wishes they would or will with no microprocessors in them just pure mechanics and with character and simplicity.

I learned to drive in a truck like this when I was 8 years old on my grandfathers farm. Great old truck. He had it until 1972 when he replaced it with a new chevy.

We had a 49 1 1/2 ton truck and a 54 3100. Plus dad’s 42 & 46 1 1/2 ton trucks. Loved my childhood.

What a beauty. If I ever own a truck, it would definitely be something like this. Real shame the car companies of today don't try to modernize them and still keeping at least some of their looks. The only one that is doing that is volkswagon.

Beautiful truck! I like the fact that it is not lowered to the ground. Wonder why most people are in love with low riders? Factory height is best in my view.

depends on the car, trucks like this and vw buses for example should be stock height, but cars like novas, falcons and ect look better lowered a couple inches, not slammed tho

Beautiful truck, I have a 51 that was my Grandpa's it's in terrible shape now but I'm getting ready to start on it. I hope I can get it to look half as good as yours. I'm planning on keeping mine stock to.

Very, very nice. I learned to drive in a '49 but it had the SM420 four-speed. Cantankerous when cold but they were indestructible. Also loved the Flintstone solenoid on the starter, you never had to worry about it wearing out. Always liked the sound of the Chevrolet gear whine from that era, it is rather loud but also pleasant IMO.

I have a 54 chevy 3100 with an automatic transmission. Both this and my 54 look nice. I wanted it in a Manuel transmission cause I like to drive stick, but I do appreciate my grandpa changing it to an automatic when he was younger.

Is that a radio! You guys must be rich! Ours ( a 1952) had wipers and a heater and a two speed rear axle. It was a two ton and I learned to drive in it. Fond memories. Hauling grain to the local elevator when I was 12. State trooper went past me once and just waved. Things were sure different then.

I think its engine is modified one. The original engine was so rough and tough but I love the original one which is there in GTA vice city.

That and the Syclone/Typhoon were the only 6-cylinder trucks I have ever liked. It used to be 2nd gen Raptor but now not anymore HUGE V8 FAN HERE I HAVE A 2004 SILVERADO 1500 EXTENDED CAB 4.3L V6 AND I HATE IT!!!!😢😢😢

+samspace81 because that area gets constant contact with shoes. I cringe thinking about the damage that paint is getting. I think the factory covered the floor boards with rubber or metal plating

The little Euro rides like MGB, FIAT, etc were the fragile ones. This truck was heavy duty for what it was. Plenty of low end torque, nothing fragile about it really.
