Don't beat yourself up Mark. I would think that was more of an awareness problem, than something you did wrong. But I do appreciate all the details you go into to help us all out! I really like Darren's upholstered side panels instead of the standard cardboard that came with the truck.!!

Happened to me too. Ive had to get the touchup gun out a few times since big paint day. With all the reassembly comes paint scratches, chips, nicks, belt buckle and key scratches ( belt goes sideways like the old days and keys go in my pocket now) i now get out the harbor freight fender protector. I need 2 more
Put the fender protectors on your Christmas list, that's how I got mine 😁 I am super careful and have learned a lot of tricks over the years putting cars back together all by myself most of the time and no matter how careful it happens like you said. Most people just don't talk about the realities of these builds. Mark
@@charlespartak2435 mine are not super thick but work pretty well. Hooks and magnets help keep them in place. They look tiny on the giant 3100 fenders though...
@@FoothillPaintandFabrication i stick mine even with the hood and fender gap edge. Seems to be plenty hanging down to protect it. Way better than the old vinyl ones from back in the day.
