When I was a child in 1977, 10 years old, I had a projector throw a roll of paper under Roynel brand, and I used to draw customized cartoons, static pictures, non movement, just one lens, metallic case and a simple bulb. The projector here shown has two lenses, giving effect of movement. Great! Huggs from 🇨🇱 Santiago, Chile SouthAmerica. 😉😀

@@TheFabrik Yessss. Let me tell you something else. In 1980 my parents went to the US, Florida, and I asked them a View Master Projector and my brother a Fisher Price super8 film cartridges and projector/visor. And finally the bought them bougth. I yet have my VM projector, and many many reels.🥰

The card stock that was used to make the lamp housing, was used through several manufactured products in it's time. Camera housings, toys, even car and truck interiors. This toy housing would have been steam bent. The material used to assemble it is called buckram and was used to cover books.
@stupitdog9686

I guess it was used as it would not heat up too much with the close contact to the bulb & would protect a 50's kid from contact burns.

I had a Thing-Maker as a kid in the 60's. Plug it in, heat the metal mold up and pour goop in to cook up little Creepy Crawler creatures. Hot enough to blister a finger. Safety concern? We didn't touch it until the creatures cooled, problem solved!

ages have past, since these machines had been coveted, no longer seen as the wonderous piece of human ingenuity that they are. stained and replaced, rusted and worn, these machines wither in silence and suffering. yet even in the cold, uncaring world, unable to see the perfection in even the oldest of machines. there are the faithful, those that know the centuries of curiosity, and hard work, in each of these relics. these faithful few that rip away the cruel chains of rust, and remind these hardworking machines. that no matter how old they are, they will always be the glorious creations of mankind, deserving of respect and admiration. praise the wheel, praise progress.

that's both a quite neat design and a little painful to watch as the end, this uneven blinking and image offset... but otherwise alternating those two sets of image make for a pretty well done feeling of animation, I like it. otherwise great restoration, so many little parts ! an good idea to replace some rivets with threadlocked screws, it's probably better this way.

I like how you considered destroying the paper rolls right out of the box. It’s important to keep an open mind. Kudos to you!
