Originally this must have been one little boy's dream toy! And then it endeded somewhere on a rubbish dump. But now its back to its original splendor, thanks to you!
I had a Mamod steam engine. Had I realized that they only used soft solder rather than silver solder I might have been a bit more careful about jamming the safty valve shut to get more power!
Super entertaining, had me glued the whole time. But in reality, it was hours of not days worth of work for a razor blade you could go to the store and buy brand new for three bucks. But I did like the video.
Some minor quibbles... in the before & after shots, you can see that the stones were installed backwards. Before, the higher points were towards the center. 10:46 After, the higher points were towards the outside. 10:51 Also, the route of the string is only around one gear, instead of all three gears plus the posts for the screws. Thanks for all these infos but… Fyi : the teeth were not in the correct position initially, the gears neither. I guess the previous owner must have disassembled it than he missed the point. Everything is back in place now. 😘
Светодиод светит в полмощности так как динамо вырабатывает переменный ток, если поставить диодный мост и электролитический конденсатор согласно полярности выхода из диодного моста то свето диод будет гореть ярче и меньше усилий нужно прикладывать для раскрутки самой динамо.
