Beautiful truck , the exhaust might look good shooting out straight under the bumper

@@danielvalentin6852 I’m thinking so as well in that area . It’s just the frame sits on the ground when aired out so it can’t go under the frame and the bumper is mounted same height as frame . I’m gonna mock up the bumper and have another look 👀. Thanks for the feedback !

I would also look at beefing up the actuator mount that attaches to the bed floor. I think the amount of load it will take on just a flat plate will cause a lot of stress to the weld joints and probably start to bow that plate. Even just a gusset that runs the length of the plate would work. But I think making it look fuklly boxed to match your 1x1 bars would look clean. Also dont decide on the rear exhaust, until you get that bumper mounted, it might partially block the exhaust tips a bit.. On my rear bumper on my '52, I want to mod the brackets and suck it in to the body as close as I can. But overall I am really liking the build. Its really coming along fast.

Great points ! I definitely will look into adding some strength to the plates . I’m gonna take a look at it and think of the best clean option . Beefing it up won’t hurt that’s for sure . I’m gonna toss the bumper brackets on and see how low the bumper sits . I do like the original look of the bumper being off the truck a bit because I’m powder coating the brackets the copper colour so I think being able to see the colour will tie in with the rims . I’m hoping the exhaust will clear . Gonna check that next ! .. thank you for the feedback it’s greatly appreciated

So does the bed get raised every time to fill the fuel tank? Man it looks so good!!!
@spesh1300
@spesh1300 2 месяца назад
@@martinjamesdesigns3748 yup . I wanted the fuel filler hidden since I’m deleting the original location on the cab and didn’t want it to go through the raised bed . I’ll be able to hit the Dakota actuator switch in the cab and it’ll automatically lift to the height I set for fuel filling .

I say come on side on frame and turn down next to back of the fender if you come out the fender will always have that exhaust stain

That is a great point ! I definitely do not want stain on the white paint . Thank you !
