Where do I or can I get tune-up items for the Johnson 3hp OB. I have my dads that we used a lot on either a 10' or 12' aluminum boat back in the 50's and 60's. Not sure what year is. Thank You for any info
Where to get a carburetor kit for a JW-10? I have a 1954 model I believe it is. It runs but acts balky sometimes on high speed. I replaced the impeller just a year or two ago. Seems to troll pretty good.
Got the exact same motor given to me after the death of my mother, Used to he her trollin/fishing goto motor before she had to go electric all the time. So it been a good 30+ years it did not run. Was in a shed so I will have a hard time bring in it back to life I am sure. Do you have a good resource for parts for it? A manual maybe?
Parts are still readily available. You can get them aftermarket or OEM from Evinrude. I’m not aware of where you would find a service manual for it but they are very simple to work on and I regularly bring them back to life that I’ve been sitting 30 40 years.
@@chrysleroutboarddude Thanks for the feedback. Will check with my Evinrude dealer. I really want to bring it back to life. As I took my retirement last year I go fiching a lot more and I found a place where there is a small boat available but there is no road to get to the lake. Since that motor is less heavy than my battery and electric motor combo It will be fun to use it. Sure beat to use the paddle also. ;-)
I was stopped and turned around by the Harbor Master at the mouth of the North River in Norwell, MA, headed for the Atlantic. Wanted to visit my uncle in Scituate. In a 6 foot pram with this motor. I was 9 years old. Thank you HM!! re: the audio...yes, need to place mic closer to narrator
