Goulais River, Ontario, Canada. Snow was wet all day and now just starting to freeze so it's very heavy and packed. Tractor is not really made for this (no 2-stage clutch, gearing too high) but it does the job if I take my time.
Brian, I never saw anything like this...great video. I have only a pull behind snow blade, but when snow is 24 inches deep driving into it is a problem because I bottom out, and the front bumper touches the snow, so I am limited as to what amount of snow I can handle. Now if your snowblower could be rotated in such a way that you drive backwards pushing snow all the while blowing it, that would be a greater invention because your tires would always be driving on a cleared path. That's the key...keeping tires on a cleared path.
Nobody makes the V-type shown in this video anymore so you'd have to get lucky and find a used one. There are plenty of manufacturers making 2 stage, pull type snowblowers that work like this through. Do a search for pull type snowblowers, I have an MK Martin Meteor SB-68 PT that I use on a 9N. Erskine, Lucknow, Normand and Pronovost are some of the other companies that make them.
