There were a handful of these replicas floating around. This is not the only one. Im not sure if I totally believe the every Sunday for 3 years and handcrafting the body. That's only 156 days in total. And out of those how many hours? Restoring and fabricating is two different worlds as well. There was the pale green one floating around in the Southern United States a few years back.

... Absolutely Fantastic !!!!!!! ..... Would really like to know what trans. it has ..... Also , giving credit to the builders for such a super nice reproduction , I can only assume they were in a slight hurry to have it ready to run & show ASAP from the looks of the early photos of their engine choice & lack of correct details on the engine & engine color .... If they had used a 235 / 6 , blue would have been fine , BUT , with the V8 , it could be dressed out like a 55' 265 ............. ???????? . Great job anyway !~!~!.............. " SAVE THA' WAVE "

So...it ISN'T a '54 Corvair. It's a 'Vette collector's idea f what the Corvair was. A sort if reproduction. Nice, but well, not a Corvair.

It's downright sinworthy that they won't drive the car. What good is it if they don't at least cruise it now and again?
