I owned 2 57s back in 1 with built 283 in 1964 the other a wagon. Gold mine if I still had em. Now as I look at these restored classics I like the lines of the 55 the best, clean and simple.
Impressed they stuck to the nostalgia theme so close. Removing passenger side dashboard bulge??? I can see their vision. Incredible finished product 😎👍🏆❤️
Just when I thought I watched every video of car building I could stand you guy come up with this formant and I really enjoyed it! Always loved 55 and that color is amazing...I love it! Thanks for posting!
I owned 2 57s 1 with built 283 vett heads cam solids in 1964 the other a wagon. Gold mine if I still had em. I’m laughing now because I chose a a Chevy over a 57 Porsche speedster with a solid v windshield without center strip. Now as I look at these restored classics I like the lines of the 55 the best, clean and simple. Glad I chose the chevy but god a Porsche Speedster. Did realize at the time what I was looking at.
Beautiful restoration with one exception: Why remove the 'fantail' detail on the passenger side dash? This was a distinctive feature exclusive to the 55-56 years only. I understand this is a resto-mod but...?
Myself , I'm a bigger fan of the 55-56 Chevrolet impala's love the look of the front ends and taillights , think they look better when made into a HOT ROD right now I'm working on a 66 Nova. 😈⚡☠⚡🏁✌✌👍 Please be safe out there 🍺
If the crew that worked on it did a commentary track the video would benefit exponentially. And it would be dead simple to accomplish. There might even be refreshments served...
Beauty, rims are one of a kind and really suit the body. Can you name those rims and where available? The color is really good looking too, is it Caramel? The tires are radical.
Beautiful car. I really love the colour and the wheels but I don't understand, and correct me if I'm wrong but why use a fuel pump screwed to the frame rails instead of say an in tank pump. From my experience in tank pumps are much quieter and run better. Not knockin, just a question.
Subscribed to your channel immediately, wow - that's art work, just bought a 1955 - 210 - 4 door, I think your video will help me to imagine what's possible, best regards from Germany, Robert
Thank you. Happy to hear that in a way videos on my channel can help build more awesome dream cars.😊👍🏻 when you finish your project I would love to see it.😊🚘
@@handbuiltcars You inspired me with your video. I just wrote down what you said and I will probably get in touch with you in 1 - 2 years, with a video like you did. I would be very happy if you would have time to look at it. Best wishes from Germany, Munich city, Bobby
Why didn’t you guys fu a 57. More your style. The grill dash and front and rear lights were iconic. At least you painted it in a pukey colour so I don’t wish I still had one of mine. Lol
Where is the Bel Air ? Car was a model 210. Hacking the dash negates. Fantastic custom work and sheet metal and paint. Somebody some where has tooooo much money !
I was enjoying watching this until I saw that they 𝙜𝙤𝙩 𝙧𝙞𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘 "𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜" 𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙣 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙨??? Ridiculous! They 𝙧𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙙 it. Looks similar to a Checker taxicab now. It's like getting rid of the tailfins on a '57. Tsk! Tsk! Lost interest.
BEAUTIFUL 55 love the custom touches but those wheels give me a break those are god ugly ,come on Art after all the money you put into this car then you put those wheels on it you should be ashamed of yourself stick to making your over priced chassis.
