How does one even begin to comment on this little gem? I guess the only word I can think of is stunning .... Wow! I think it's the nicest 55 I've seen .... even thinking back on new ones when I was a kid! My first thought when this car came up for viewing that it HAS to be an off-frame rotisserie restoration .... What an unbelievable finish! You spoke well in saying this looks like black glass. It's obvious that this car has been loved. There aren't words to even begin to cover the appointments of this one. Somebody's getting a sweetheart here.
Amazing example of one of the better tri 5s, this iconic body style is all by itself a rolling billboard for how great it must have been to live in the fantastic fifties, I was every bit of 2 yrs old when these great cars came off the assembly line, I can’t say that I remember looking or riding in one but my stepdad had one later when I was around 9 or 10. His was two tone blue and white, he was a car guy also thanks Mr. Grams.

Tough call. Imo, the generation that bought these are starting to pass away. I don't know if anyone younger than myself, I'm 60, would be interested in owning a tri-five Chevrolet. This one seems exceptional. Logic rules here. My guesstimate is $55,000
Beyond exceptional. Beyond stunning! Too nice to drive! Happy the owner had the good taste not to hang those fender skirts on it! What a typical Volo gem! No excuses from them!
Oh boy! Apparently I missed the market with this one. If I was interested, I'd come up to 60k. I think that is fair for this generation of collector car
I remember very well the sound of that "flipper squeak" for the door glass, I rewound it several times to hear it. I could hear my neighbor's '57 flipper squeak at night when he came home, it was kinda loud. I love a black car and this one looks perfect.
