This 68 year old fan has seen some hard times. Left outside to rust and corrode and sold mostly as junk, I'm going to try give it a new life. These mid-century Westinghouse fans were built well using an aluminum body, plastic blades and a steel cage. They can usually be brought back with a little effort so lets see how thins one goes.

Interesting video! In Argentina, that models of Westinghouse fans were licensed and manufactured by Siam Di Tella, but the blades were completely metallic.

Have you restored it? If not, this video and part two will show you how. These are easy to work on.

@@Ififitzisitz Nice! These are very well made. Just keep it oiled and you've got a lifetime appliance.

Enjoy seeing these old things being fixed but can you try repositioning your camera/phone to the front? Seeing your back, elbow, knuckles is shall we say not informative or great content.

I'll work on that.

Where did you get your fan book?

I've had it for about 15 years now. Out of print now but copies are currently on ebay for $25. The title of the book is: "Collector's Guide to Electric Fans" by John M. Witt 1997.
